HA! HA! I got the three I ordered today!

These people certainly understand about excellent service.

I immediately put a rotocast Romulan head from DM on one, and one of his Will Scarlett heads on the other.

Both went on without problems or soaking in hot water.

Now, what to make of them? An Elf lord? A Dunedain Ranger?

      Any ideas?

^^^I made my Black Adam using this combo...Looks like the current beefed up comic version!

I guess you could make a B.A. Romulan for Kirk to run up against?
        As for Will.....endless opportunities there

          Mattel head colors...

Has anyone had any luck matching the Mattel Retro Super Hero head color to the ZICA body color?

I put a Lex Luthor head on the ZICA buck & tried using RIT dark green dye on a pair of hands and it just turned them black. Atleast, I have a pair of Black Manta hands ready to go.

The Zica body really completes that Superman. Plus having the emblem slightly stretched makes him look more like his comic counterpart. I typically don't convert bodies on current figure lines. But this is so convincing, I think I might have to go there with Supes. Great work!

Well I wanted Lex to be able to hold his Kryptonite and the ZICA hands hold anything. Does anyone have suggestions on how to best color the hands and heads?

I think David Lee of Castaway Toys made a thread where he darkened the skin tones of Mattel figures without any impact to the paint, check it out. Mind you, it doesn't have anything to do with matching Zica bodies, but the technique may still apply.

I know I am new and this might have been mentioned...but does ZICA sell plain bodys to use to customize? The pictures I have seen are sweet!

Thanks for tip! The bodies look great....the upper bodies remind me a lot of the GI Joe Classic Collection bodies when they came out with the bigger arms. Very cool!

I heard (but i havent tried it) if you leave a head in pan with a couple tea bags & hot water the head will darken up evenly? thus making it match the Z body better? i guess it would stain the lighter plastic??? i may try it....well...just to try it?

oh yeah i love the zica body and the grip hands (they really do hold everything) wish i could get some in lion rock size!

Amazing how much Zica bodies improved those characters. It's like night and day.
