That is amazing! It makes me want to try and make a custom.

The vinyl heads will fit over the top portion of the neck, not sit on top of it.
Thanks for all of the suggestions but at this point I think the best thing to do would be get the body released and see what the customizing crowd can come up with. I talked to the sculptor today and told him to change the conical shape at the end of the neck post to a ball so maybe that will make things easier in regards to attaching resin heads.
mmm. Maybe i am slow but I don't see how making a ball post will make it any easier to attach resin heads..... Oh well...... Unfortunately, I think this will be more useful for kitbashers than customizers.....
But there's nothing wrong with kitbashing.....
Please reserve a couple for me.Comment

I think that if ZICA takes into account all of our personal wishes, we'll never see any future releases....
I'm sure that if the new female bodies were released in perfect Mego style, some people would say "I wish they had made the neck a bit more realistic and modern...."
See it as a challenge, guys. If you want to customize, you need to put some effort in it.
I have complete confidence in your abilities to cut up bodies.....

Okay, this may sound a bit fan-girlish but I have to do it:
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
There, I squee-ed like a ten year old.
I'm stoked about this!
Hopefully we'll get these in time for May/June.
They'd make a great birthday present.JediJaidaComment

Actually, I've been customizing since the late 70s, and haven't stopped yet.
But I have to admit, I'm the kind of customizer that doesn't shy away from cutting of whole sections of figures and resculpting to meet any demands I might have. So if the neck doesn't fit...I'll make a new one....
I have figures that were originally "straight-armed" into which I installed knee and elbow joints. I love a little A-Team action....
But it goes without saying that an easy-to-switch version would save a lot of time and work.
I also understand the idea of ZICA being its own design, and not Mego, volume 2.
Anyway, I prefer the ZICA female body to the Mego female body..

^ Well, that is a well-kept secret, I really look forward to seeing your work.
I too like the Zica female body more than Mego. And I never said I wanted a Mego, volume 2 body.
All I am saying is I hope that it won't require too much adjustment to interchange various heads.Last edited by SlipperyLilSuckers; Jan 19, '11, 4:53 PM.Comment

I freely admit to not being a customizer. I am more of a collector and kitbasher.
I have no real talent for sewing, drawing or sculpting, and have no camera to take pictures of anything, even if I did manage to create something.JediJaidaComment

I'm more of a kit-basher than customiser too! Thats why I'm really hoping for a neck adapter. I probably could do some customs if I really set out to do that, but I'd really prefer to limit my customs to just painting if I can help it. Seeing some of the custom work here in the customs forums, I'm tempted to give my wife's sewing machine a test drive. I'd probably be better off leaving that alone too though. LOLComment
