It's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, so I'm going to put in more of my two cents worth.
I definitely believe that this would be a moneymaker for ZICA.
I happen to belong to a costuming group that is BSG based, and yes it's the original, not the GINO, and I will float the idea by them to see if anyone of them is interested.
And I KNOW that there are a LOT more fans of the show that are out there than just the members of the forum.
A toy's popularity is mostly based on profit, isn't it?
If, and I do mean 'if', there are enough of us that really, REALLY want this, we can make it happen, can't we?
I know that Craig is up to his little eyeballs with the Buck Rogers line, and I am already down for Buck and Tigerman.
But I'd LOVE to see Apollo, Starbuck, Adama, a few Cylons, Athena, Cassie, Boomer, and maybe, juuuuust maybe, a 1:9 scale Viper.JediJaidaComment

There is NO line I would like to see more than the classic Battlestar Galactica. NONE. If someone can make this happen, I will be first in line.Comment

That line that would do very well.
'Sides, I 've always felt Mattel 'missed the boat' with this line with their releases back in '79-80.
Heck, you could sign me up for a 1/9 scale Raider!
How cool would that be?"...You can capture the Klingon & bring him back to the Enterprise!"Comment

But honestly, I dreamt of this as a kid ever since I first saw Battlestar Galactica. I had the Mego 8" Star Trek figures (which really was something special, as they were hard to find over here. Mattel's Big Jim had the monopoly for action figures over here in those days), and wanted BSG figures to go along with them.
Plus we didn't even have those junky Mattel 3 3/4" BSG figures. For some reason, they never have seem to make it to the European continent.
So, after over 30 years, please make that happen!Comment

Classic TRON would be very cool but I've heard it can be very difficult to get a license from Disney. Supposedly you need to have been in business for 10 years before they'll even consider granting you a license. Naturally that may not be true but it's what I've heard.Comment

After having the Buck Rogers and Tiger Man figures in hand, I more than ever would like ZICA to work on a classic BSG line.Comment

Okay, God willing that Craig gets the BSG license, what characters would you fans like to see in Wave 1?
For me, it would have to be Starbuck and Apollo. Let's face it, those two were the eye candy of the series, so they should get produced first.
For Wave 2 Adama and Baltar. Two great enemies, captured in vinyl.
Wave 3 Cassieopeia and Athena.
Wave 4 Boomer and Jolly.
Of course, we'd have to have Lucifer and a Cylon, as well as Vipers and Raiders (for those of us with REAL deep pockets. LOL!)
Just leave out Boxey and the Daggit. The kid was annoying, and the daggit will never compare to K9 of Doctor Who.
If it were to get an upgrade to be more bad***, then sure, I'd buy it.JediJaidaComment
