I don't want DST to learn a lesson. I like the line and have been supporting it. I'm just disappointed with another Deadpool set before an extremely popular A-lister like Iron Man/Tony Stark. No Iron Man is a big hole in the collection. Missing out on pirate Deadpool isn't.
It reminds me of the toybiz variant days..Fisher-Man Spider-man with fish pole .......... Pirate Deadpool?Comment

I saw three pirate Deadpool cos-players on the weekend. It's a legit thing and I don't blame them for a repeat of their hottest seller.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

This has been discussed and from what I remember the price point was what was carved in stone and Doc talkd them into including the two extra looks ( but still only one body ) to help justify the retail price.Comment

I think Mezco has shown there is a market to smaller "hot-toys" like figures with their one:12 line. I wish that was the way DST had gone for the 8" cloth line as it might of brought in younger collectors instead of just us old-farts. Perhaps DST could still take that approach for future figures with the current license?Comment

Can you imagine that meeting?
FTC: We would like the Marvel license for 8 inch figures.
Hasbro: Fine, but you have to include 2 costumes!!
FTC: What?!?
Hasbro: That's right!! And one of them has to be an ALTER EGO!!!
FTC: *gasp*
Anyway, that's what I found funny.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

My comment was deleted? why?
But DSTZach stated "One character, one figure, $80. That's what we were offered, that's the only option available to ANYONE interested, and we took it, because otherwise no Marvel Megos. We've tried to pack each set with $80 worth of value, and I think we have, but YMMV. "
FTC was offered the same and turned it downComment

According to DSTZach- Yep! To make Marvel mego's was one character, one figure at $80
FTC was offered the same thing..they passed! $80 price point was mostly the factorComment

The license does not say they have to make two outfits. That was my point.Last edited by CrimsonGhost; Sep 5, '17, 10:11 PM.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

If FTC had gotten this license, they'd all have balloon heads with open mouths, and really crappy bodies!
I'm not even buying any FTC anymore. DST/EMCE are way better looking!
If DST/EMCE had the DC license, but could only do one figure for $80, their Batman set would be way better, and I'd be all over it!Last edited by BATMAN89; Sep 5, '17, 10:07 PM.Comment
