Here's an idea for DST Marvel- Round 2 Captain Action-like

Could DST EMCE sell INDIVIDUAL Mego Marvel costumes and heads, accessories to put on a Mego 8" body like Round 2 did with Captain Action 12" Marvel costumes which were only $20 each? That would be a costume for a figure, not a complete figure that would compete with Hasbro and Mego Marvel fans would not have to buy expensive $80 sets. Just an idea.

^Not a bad idea, but I thought they had to keep them at that higher retail price to not step on Hasbro's toes? Like they have a lock on Marvel Action Figures under a certain price point, (excluding the Marvel Select 7" figures).

That's what I thought. I could be wrong.

Thanks, Chris. That's how Round 2 Captain Action got Marvel license because they were $20 costumes to put on Captain Action figure that were not competing with Hasbro's complete Marvel figures.

How much could be charged for a single Marvel costume and head and maybe accessories to put on generic Mego 8" body?

Round 2 was classifying them as model kits, too, I think that's how they skirted around the issue.

Since Emce is distributed primarily by Diamond it might not be the Hasbro figures that are being protected but rather the Diamond Select figures by the stipulations of the license.

I like the idea of costume and head/hands packets. It's one mentioned before. It would be great if Emcee could do it.

Why would you want to buy a set of stuff needing a body? Seems like it should just come with a body. Since all the bodies are the same and don't cost anything extra when making the accessories. The bodies are the cheapest part of a figure, since the molds are already made. That's the whole reason we ever got the superheroes in the first place.

Seriously - its like beating a dead horse here - They Can't sell the sets under the 79.99 price point under the license.

You are not going to see EMCE change this format anytime soon.
What you see is what you get - and be lucky that you are getting it. If you just want the single figure or suit - look on e bay. Some people only wanted the classic mego igure in box and sold the rest of the parts.

Some only wanted the modern figures and sold the classic figure.

Thats the only way you will get the figure you want with out paying for the rest. Or buy the 3 pack and sell the parts. If you buy a set like the captain america set - you will even make money. grabbed mine on a buy it now for 50! with free shipping -sold classic cap for 40.00 you get the other 2 for 10 bucks each, add a body and your paying 20-25 for 2 complete figures.

Its always great to wish for stuff - but in this case for the near future at least be lucky your getting what you see. I do not see them selling just suits IMO

I know this has gotten old but the $80 sets are not selling even Toycade said discounted to $65. And next set Thor is not due until Nov/Dec! Only 1 new set is supposed to be shown at SDCC in 2 weeks for 2016 obviously. Not frequent enough to compete with FLOOD of FTC DC Megos! DST Mego Marvel was DOA.

This will be the third "discussion" in under a week. Take a hint already.
