If you bought an expensive action figure set over the internet with flawed pieces, would you expect the company that manufactured it to replace the defective parts? And if you bought multiples, would you expect all the bad parts replaced?

I had a Shazam fist fighter with a small crack in neck and FTC sent me a new head right away. I also had a had a damaged Castaway Phantom head and they sent me
a new head along with free guns and holsters. Diamond's sets are so full of broken stuff they should have an emergency number like 911.Comment

Absolutely! If it's parts that can be replaced. Other than that, the whole thing should be replaced. As perviously mentioned, companies should stand by everything they manufacture and you should expect or accept nothing less.Comment

I would expect it replaced. But I may try the retailer who sold it to me, rather than the manufacturer. If I bought a drill and the chunk was broken, I would probably return it to Home Depot (or Amazon) rather than contacting Black & Decker. (Although I am betting in that example if I contacted Black & Decker, they would help me.)Comment

I remember getting the I Love Lucy set from Amazon, and of course Fred Mertz had a broken knee cap and the plastic bubble was crooked on the card,
I contacted Amazon and they said they were sold out, hmmm, CTVT was sold out too, I could have returned for a refund but didn't want to bother with
the hassel and have Fred missing from the set, since it would likely be impossible to find another and not pay a higher price.
So I sent it to Mike Rogers (Mego73) who was gracious enough to fix it up and replace the card back, so it looks just like it came form the factory.
I have a replacemant plastic bubble piece for it but have not yet attempted to glue it on the card, a bit nervous since if you mess up the first time,
it's ruined, so I simply have a thin elastic around it to hold it in place.
Thanks again Mike for the help and time on that, I know it wasn't exactly a piece of cake, always will appreciate it.Comment

Bottom line, like everything..it's all about money, then customer satisfaction
I will say though that FTC is good at giving you replacement defective partsComment

FTC is replacing the 2 broken arm Shazams that I recieved recently. The problems is the Diamond/Emce Marvel sets have so many broken or defective parts
that they should replace or refund entire sets in some cases(but with a limited run of 3000 ) the replacememt set might also have the same issues.Last edited by wise guy; Jun 20, '15, 12:43 AM.Comment

Here is a list of what I got defective in my Wolverine sets. I sent lots of pictures of all of it to them, so they know I wasn't lying.
3 Wolverine brown boots (paint scuffs and stretched rubber)
1 Wolverine right hand blue glove (stretched rubber warping)
1 Wolverine right open hand with claws (broken blade)
2 Wolverine orange heads (scuffs, nicks, paint rubs on one head and paint transfer and missing paint on the other)
1 Wolverine orange bodysuit (snag hole in leg)
Over a month ago I was told they found some parts for me and would send them. I still haven't received them, and now they don't respond to emails. So Diamond Select Toys won't do anything for me now, after stringing me along for a while. That's a lot of defective parts I got for my money, and they don't care. I know I bought more sets than most, so I had a lot of defective stuff because they have no quality control. It isn't my fault their stuff was defective, so they really should make it right with me.Comment

I did'nt get Wolverine(but with those factory issues you listed) are the new sets fixing the issues or are they just pumping out more sets ?
Diamond was aware of Cap's star before release but did'nt fix it, and Deadpool has a lot of extras that they might not replace if defective.Comment

I'd package it all back up and send it back to the retailer you bought it from to replace them. They'll get new sets from the distributor and you can try again if you're still into it.Comment
