I opted out of the new marvel stuff for this reason.
I'm not buying anymore until this "new" body hits the streets.
    I'll stick with FTC s 66 batman.
don't hold your breath on getting new bodies

To tell U the truth havent had any problems with BBP stuff, maybe a couple, which were strung a bit tight. Only collecting the Batman 66 stuff from FTC, and I find a few of them have wonky strung legs.

Figures should be able to handle gentle posing and regular re-posing.
You shouldn't have to kitbash or replace parts to repair them.
These are not $5 figures. Stuff shouldn't break right out of the box or after a couple of weeks. We're not buying DIY items, we're buying and paying for a finished product.
I'm glad I just bought the Universals, which IMO are still close to perfect.

lol, my Wolfman came with his arms on backwards/wrong sides. I had to disassemble him to fix it.

It's amazing how great most of the original mego bodies were. I had very few with issues right out of the box or off the card. Now, they all eventually broke except for my last Superman, but I generally put them through all kinds of hell before they did. It's a different day.

Quality control is generally what the customer demands if the customer has the clout to be heard, but even with the variety of figures coming out today, the numbers probably aren't enough of a concern for the manufacturers to pay at ton of attention to. Mego was selling to practically every store that carried toys, while remego items are basically boutique items. And with the orders for bodies coming from 3 or four different companies, likely with different manufacturers, the numbers are split so the orders arent as big of a concern to the manufacturer.

Most of my original megos are in pretty good shape considering the age, and all my Castaway figures are in good shape. I do have some issues with FTC like the
WGH female necks but nothing like how many Emce broken bodies I have.At this point I am just saving heads, and costumes , and this is why I didnt open Retro Spidey,
              or Cap,from the collector's box

Quality control should be easy, especially with todays technology, skype etc, its hardly jumping on a boat to China for 3 weeks Surely if China screws up, then they should be .accountable for something ? Does the client go, why the hell did this head turn out so large ? , and what the hell were U thinking, producing this ? Who gets a bullet in the butt ? I certainly couldnt imagine this happening to me, Id look at something 20 times before I approved it.

I recently bought 3 Captain Canucks. They're still in their packages.

One seems OK, except for red stains on his left hand.

Second has some head paint issues, and possibly has a broken left hip, it doesn't look 'right'.

Third, well, bad head paint, red stains on right hand, and a tear in the fabric (not the seam) on his upper left leg.

All three have excess threads at their cuffs, one had thread sticking up out of his boot. Its probably just a loose piece of thread, but still don't help in the 'presentation', kinda like Capt America's star.

I'm confident I could make two good ones out of the three, but I paid for three good ones...

As much as I really, truly hate to say this, I think that from now on, I will skip out on EMCE's stuff. There are just too many quality control issues with the bodies for me to justify spending money on.

The accessories are great, even though they are limited in variety, and the heads that are made in China are top notch.

I think that I will simply wait for the new bandless body (if it EVER comes available. Someone PLEASE talk to Doc if he's at the Meet and beg in a nice way for some info?).
