EMCE Toys has Ghostbusters, Universal Monsters and Aliens!
LOVE the Universal Monsters and this solves a small mystery. Diamond had product codes for the monsters, villagers, and lunchbox in their system this summer, but no descriptions or photos, and when Halloween solicitations came and went, I began to wonder. Very, very cool stuff.
They can fight the Star Wars Command army men! Yeah, I'll be getting the Monsters for sure, possibly the Aliens. Army men are perfect for sandcastles at the beach!
I'm impressed by the "army men" format being used for Ghostbusters... for some reason it makes me think that I'll want to examine more properties that have produced a decent variety of characters in this simple, but iconic and convenient way to display characters I'm into. I'm particularly interested in DC/Marvel characters in "army men" format that I've seen over the past decade while "nerd toy browsing". Anyway---cool stuff with the Ghostbusters license---an undeniably child-geared retro-collectible (as long as the price-point is unreasonable---otherwise, still cool---but more in the vein of an "adult collectible"!---Ha.) .
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
Folks at the UMA board were saying this reminded them of 60s Monster merchandise, using the Strange Frankenstein and Chaney's Kharis over Boris in both roles.
