I had assumed the reason they did the circle suit was that since Spidey was one of the more common figures they went with a rare variant. You can get an original pretty cheap and this was just a way to help fill out the alternate looks.

i just saw the youtube diamond for these,capt is fantastic,i was concered about wolverine,however the video cleared that all up.and

Part of the reason I love vintage toys is because nobody thought like that back in the day!

Yes, I meant we were getting close to sold out of the initial 3,000. They'll be at retail until they aren't.

And yes, I believe EMCE suggested the circle suit because the regular suit is -- and correct me if I'm wrong here -- one of the most plentiful Megos ever made? Body types not withstanding? (I honestly do not know the numbers.) I imagine the circle suit also being the first Spidey suit released certainly helped seal the deal.

Wolverine should hit not long after Cap. Hopefully next month for both. We'll see.

I really like my new Circle Suit Spider-Man! I think it was an excellent choice, for the reasons DSTZach stated. The damage on the repro box is what has me disappointed. I'm so jealous that Spidey wasn't packaged like the new releases.
