Saw them at my local comic shop today. Packaging is pretty cool, but the paint jobs on the two sets in stock were shabby and a few of the guitar necks were warped into a crecent shape. Marked at 14.99 each, I chose to pass on them without hesitation. Disappointing to say the least.Comment

Got mine! Kind of a mixed bag... I mostly really like these.
From best to worst:
Gene Simmons: Best. Looks great.
Peter Criss: 2nd place. The catman looks great. He's small (appropriate for the short guy in the band).
Ace Frehley: 3rd. Ace is ok. His head sculpt is kinda frumpy and distorted and the likeness isn't great. His body and costume look good.
Paul Stanley: This one is bad. Paul is the clear loser here. His figure kinda sucks. He's too skinny... looks anorexic compared to the others.
The guitars are excellent as is the packaging.
Overall, I'm digging these figures and looking forward to different sets.Comment

I'd love to see some pics! I saw the figures at Toy Fair but if these are different, then I'm curious to see how they are different.
How do they compare scale wise to other 3 3/4 figures?Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

Got mine today and agree with the mixed bag review. Packaging is ok. I saw an early picture on EE and the packaging was awesome. (Had red border I believe). This packaging is dark and purposely distressed. It's ok.
Peter may look the best. Too bad the least favorite member gets the best look.
Gene is awesome IF you get a good paint job. Mine is decent, but the pain apps are not as good as Peter's or Ace's.
Ace looks good too.
Paul looks ridiculous, anorexic, almost as if the sculptor personally disliked him. But the biggest mistake is leaving off his chest hair. Get your sharpie ready, because without it, Paul basically looks more like a bad tribute band version of the Starman.
I feel the flaw in these figures is in the articulation! I could be wrong, but I think fans would prefer a quality sculpt over articulation. Let's face it. KISS Ruled the music scene when Star Wars figures ruled the toy aisle. Give us Star Wars type 5 POA and awesome quality sculpts with cool packaging and fans will buy every series.
I hope we get another series and improvements are made.Last edited by MegoMoe; Mar 15, '16, 5:41 PM.Comment
