Gah! Agreed, that sculpt looks nothing like Kaley Cuoco but more like a blonde Mayim Bialik. IMO

Funny, When I saw that I thought it looked like a blonde version of the AFF as well.

That was my fist reaction as well. But then I saw her at the Emmy's with short hair, and,,, I dunno... actually doesn't seem too far off, does it?

I'm glad to see the blue female uniform as it makes it easier for those of us who don't sew to make Nurse Chapel, etc. and expand our crew.

To me, the actual facial sculpt is a likeness of AFF/Mayim Bialik.

I know that for the longest time regular Penny has been shown in 2-D concept due to final licensee approval, perhaps BBP finally got licensee approval but too late to show the final approved Penny head sculpt so they are using a blonde AFF as a placeholder.

Just spit ballin' a potential theory to why the above figure looks more like AFF instead of Penny.

The guys look great, but this head sculpt isn't even close, sorry to say.
Pity, because all the rest, including the hair, is really well done.

I HOPE & PRAY w/ all my might that those BBT STAR TREK costumes are poorly fitting prototypes! I have NO interest in these figures as they are, I just wanted the x2 female BLUE STAR TREK DRESSES & more male RED SHIRTS for my EMCE Star Trek TOS figures, to expad my crew & get to play w/ those EMCE Trek figures again w/ my nephews. I was foolish enough not to buy more than my x4 Scotty (x1 Scotty mib, 1 loose, x2 red shirt Waltons) & x4-5 Uhura (x2 for mib/loose Uhura & x2-3 RED Dress crew) when they were around $10 each on ebay. I wish I bought more Scotty figs & I stupidly only bought x2 ROMULANS (1 mib/1 loose) thinking I could get a case from dr.mego later for my ROMULAN CREW but alas, w/out a ROMULAN RE-release......I'll NEVER be able to afford that now due to his secondary market price (INSANE!).

I'm VERY SADDENED at the look of these TREK BBT COSTUMES, They unfortunately look NOTHING even close to the awesome EMCE Star Trek Costumes & look over-sized (like most re-mego heads), too baggy, unflattering/incompatible material to EMCE's Trek costumes, & just over all HOPING these are very early prototypes that will look NOTHING like this!

I already have a Mrs. WALTON ready to leave her Uhura Lt. garbs to morph into a NURSE CHAPEL using Bernadette's or Amy's BLUE dress & planned on making a custom Blue science female outfit w/ the 2nd Blue dress! I even hoped they'd release a yellow/gold TREK DRESS as an exclusive (maybe alterate reality smart Penny? lol)!

So...
BBP or Dr. Mego (Paul)..... can anyone comment on these pictured TREK uniforms on these BBT figures? I know they are not Diamond Select Toys releases & probably couldn't utilize the exact costumes used on EMCE TOS figures (???), but will they be like this in final release? will they match the EMCE TREK costumes for custom figure building? I have no interest if not, nor do my collector friends also hoping to custom build their re-mego EMCE Trek crews! If not, & these are the end result costumes, could dr.mego.com finally release BLUE & YELLOW TOS crew dresses, even if we have to add the gold bands & silver foil emblems ourselves? They do have more detailed insignias which is neat.

Oh I just want to say a few more quick things, I think these costumes on the males (- the black neck trim which I'm pretty sure is just prototyped as well) & the female CREW DRESSES (especially the fit on Bernadette looks good & will hopefully be a shorter length in final release) LOOK GOOD as they are, it's just as companion pieces to custom build my (our) pre-existing EMCE TOS CREWS that have me worried. I want to say if these are prototypes, whomever did them did a great job! I'm just HOPING I can BUY at least x2 AMY FF & x2 Bernadettes for the costumes accessories for customs & a bunch of red-shirts!

???s:

1.) will Dr. Mego TREK BODIES be used or BBP SMDD type bodies on the males w/ TREK boot legs or removable boots?

2.) will HOWARD's body color be similar to the existing heads out there for RED SHIRT ARMY Building?

3.) will the FEMALE crew members come w/ STOCKINGS? if so, Black, Flesh, other?
