I'm not too familiar with the original Mego Cap figure as I never had one as a kid, but what are those 3 lines on his shield?

The exterior of the shield is convex. Mego printed a round sticker. They had to slice the sticker for it conform to the surface of the shield

I just hope they include the whole wrist for the replacement hands (like ZICA/Castaway do) as I always break the wrist peg with the build a zombie kits. I'd also like a red-arm / blue chest body so no flesh color shows. Perhaps doc will have some more color options on his bodies when these hit.

However, is it douchie of me to say the eyeholes in new Caps mask make him look feminine? Is is just me? Just think they'd look better rounded off or more horizontal rather than pointed up.

As I've posted elsewhere and on facebook, I will pay extra money for a quality product. This looks to be the best item EMCE has been a part of. I'll buy a couple extra bodies and I'm set. Doing the math that will probaly be around 90 dollars invested in this Cap. Look what's being paid now for Sputnik head FTC's, so I don't really see the problems with this. Thirty bucks for a well made and 100 percent in-scale figure is not much more than the going rate anyway. Plus, I bet some places offer some deals on pricing. I'm in on this one.

It's cool like buying a world's greatest super hero figure and two Action Jackson outfits, but better.

There is likely to be a lot of trading and swapping going on.

If you take the repro cap costume, Steve Rogers head and pants and boots and FTC brown leather jacket, you have a nice kitbashed rescue Captain America from the first film.

The soldier outfit is a good start for a Sgt Fury costume, too.

Fun stuff.

I hope FTC takes note of how good the cuff and hands look as a substitute for gloves. So much better than the Mattel figures from a few years ago.

My only concern is I hope these are just prototype pictures.
The suits need to be cleaned up a bit - well original suit anyway. Looks like it is very loose-stitched. Again this might be correct.

Agreed, the stitching on both Cap figures looks terrible. If they get that cleaned up on release it will be a great set. The 'modern' Cap in this set is miles better than the modern Spidey in his set.

Cannot wait for the Thor set, unless they totally flub up the repro Mego figure, I will be all over that one. If they fix the stitching on this Cap set, I will probably get it as well.

Agreed, didn't the Spidey hands come with the wrist pin? Hopefully this one will as well.
