More EMCE Star Trek Pikes/Salt Vampires?

I would say EMCE Star Trek had a similar effect on the 9" Star Trek figures from PlayMates, but I haven't really checked those on purpose like I have the DC lines...

The value of the Playmates Star Trek 9" figures was already so low, I don't think EMCE could have done much damage there. Unless you now how to pay to get someone to take them, which may be the case.

The EMCE Trek stuff is one of my favorite ReMego efforts so far.

Yeay, that Umbrella was too big, even for the 9 inch figures. The best one out there now is the Venture Bros. one. Its what I used in my pics,.

OFF TOPIC, TRDouble, I have at least x1 Boxed (think x2) that I never opened w/ the Boxed Penguin w/ x2 giant Penguins in it w/ cloth clothes (similar to the Cloth JOKER w/ exploding present that I bought since there was no Megos then). Does that Penguin have an in-scale umbrella for the FTC WGH or '66' Pengy that I have )or is coming now)/. Also, is it worth it to open it for an umbrella, are they worth anything at all MIB?

Besides the Silver Age Batman, I haven't looked at those in a long time! I would think off hand that the umbrella is too big though.

AFAIK, none of those are worth that much these days, I doubt they were worth much even before the in-scale Mego revival, but I think what FTC is doing with the DC license has probably hurt the value of the Hasbro 9" figures and I am seeing the effects on the Mattel Retro-Action figures too.

yes, they are just sold pvc instead of hollow like the others. Not resin like you said.

Ah, yes! Don't know why I said resin. I was not a fan of the solid PVC heads. The first ones were Mego-like and I much prefer those.

I will have to take another look at the Marvel ones (I know Spider-Man and Daredevil has hard heads), but The Penguin definitely has a hard and very shiny head. The Penguin's hat was even part of the head sculpt. They also skimped on his outfit, using a molded white plastic torso to simulate the shirt and a plastic black tie.

The figures prior, including the Bruce Wayne to Batman Box Set that came out with The Penguin, had the soft heads.

Aquaboy, I sadly think you are right, although I'm THRILLED they come w/ the lt. BLUE retro Mego accessories, I think the costumes, at least in the Prototype stage) look completely longer, baggier, & don't look close to compatible w/ EMCE's AWESOME TREK TOS crew uniforms which were great interpretations to their Mego counterparts!

I just got a good look at the Mirror, Mirror Kirk and Spock yesterday... ugh! What happened there? And are those resin heads painted, instead of vinyl? I don't know what looks worse, the resin painted heads or the flesh colored resin heads heads that Hasbro used at the end of their 9-Inch DC run and with the 9-Inch Marvel figures (shiny faces!!!).

If DST jumps back into the ReMego game, please go with the vinyl heads.

The heads on Hasbro's figures were soft plastic, just solid cast.

I hope they rerelease the salt vampire, they want like $60 , I made mistake getting rid of the crew! Sulu is also fetching quite a bit. I read Abrams demanded no merchandise with the original crew! Funny after that there has been no classic Star Trek figures. They canceled the 6" chapel and Rand as well. They did awesome job with the 8'' line , please do more..

^^^ Agree 100% I collected them all (& multiples of all except Khan) up until the Salt Vampire wave. It had been so long I literally forgot they were coming. I don't care 1 bit that I missed PIKE, BUT I NEED x2 Salt Vampires at least! I need 2-4 more ROMULANS! I'm in need of 1 more Khan (so I can open 1). I really wanted NURSE CHAPEL & VINA BADLY! ***I hope that the NEW BBP TBBT females BLUE STAR TREK TOS dresses are a complete match up to EMCE's material/fit! (*I do see the emblem will be silkscreened which is fine since I need at least x3 FOIL ones from EMCE's AWESOME TREK LINE! (BOTH my loose & MIB Bones & loose Lt. Uhura have missing Foil emblems that fell off). I just want 2-4 Blue dressed ST TOS BBT Bernadette & Amy Farrah Fowler to strip nekkid & make Mego ma Walton Nurse Chapel & make Mary Ellen Walton, Dorothy from WOZ, & some more Blue Sciene crew members. I'll take some Howards IF his body matches the EMCE Dr. Mego crew bodies colors & the uniform is a close match for RED SHIRTS (I have only x2 extra Red Shirts now! I already have a Ma Walton & Glenda the Good which as RED DRESSES. Hope BBP makes a Exclusive female w/ YELLOW DRESS, as that would be awesome. I don't think the BBT Heads on the females make a good EMCE trek crew, so their bodies & heads will go for something else I'm sure! Hope the glasses are removable too Aquaboy!

EDIT: What I really wish is IF DST doesn't allow EMCE to re-release more: SALT VAMPIRE, ROMULAN, corrected PIKE, maybe GORN & Sulu, that EMCE could release: Nurse CHAPEL & VINA.

*Yeoman RAND - I heard they couldn't get Rand's hair right so she was scrapped, but if they went w/ how MEGO would of done it, a blonde flip w/ a little piece like a mini-"Bump-it" would've worked).

Dr. Mego: Would BBP & or DST let you (EMCE) offer BLUE, RED, & YELLOW Lt' Uhura dresses w/ the Black collar in the same material & fit as DST/EMCE's Uhura? If need be, could they allow it w/out the foil emblem that could (or not) be offered separately & just call them Red, Blue, Gold "Go-Go" dresses on your site?

I already gave up hope of DST giving us any more great Retro cloth or 7 inch Trek figures. They are only interested in doing the pre posed ST Select figures. If we get Mego style Trek figures it will be a different company with a fresh outlook on things that know what us collectors really want. Is anyone from FTC or NECA reading this ???
