What did anyone think of the Khan figure?

Like to see Ruk, Harry Mudd, Tellerite, a correct Talosian, a correct Mugato and how about Cyrano Jones
( Trouble withTribbles ) and a Vians alien from the episode ( The Empath ) and lots more if you think about it.

I think it would have been cool to have more TNG figures too, although not really for my own interest...I like them, but didn't consider them necessary to my own collection (which is based around nostalgia for Classic Trek and MEGO). I picked up all of the EMCE Trek figures for myself (barring Pike, who I still need), and I did wind up buying Picard and the Borg, but I bought them as a gift for friends of mine who are more TNG fans than Classic Trek! I'm happy with that.

I regret not grabbing the Salt Vampire. Can't remember why I didn't since I love the design.

My picks are still - Ruk, Mudd, Kang, a Tellerite, a correct Talosian and a Mark Lenard set with Sarek/Romulan Commander outfits.

Chapel and an Orion should be exclusives where, for example, you have to buy three above to order one female.

The Salt Vampire's awesome, I'm displaying it with my Universal Monster and Twilight Zone figures as it looks more like a monster than an alien to me.

I used the Mego head, the Doc Mego outfit and a spare EMCE Trek body I had lying around from Mirror Kirk (didn't like that headsculpt so I gave his uniform to Khan) and voila, instant McCoy. Yes, repro McCoy is considerably more expensive than kitbashing one with an original Mego head. Ironic...
I have noticed that too and have been keeping my eyes peeled for a decent McCoy head so I can kitbash my own. The crew was my main focus when I decided to go back and grab these, but I'd like to get the others for completion and maybe display's sake (I forgot that I need a Khan too, so I need four). I know some are wrong, but they still say "Mego" to me and I think it's more nostalgia than it is accuracy for me when it comes to the repros, unlike the new ones, like 1966 Batman.

I need the Salt Vampire and Pike too (now my number is up to SIX!), but neither are necessities, although I'd like the Salt Vampire, not so much Pike.

They could make Kirk with his green shirt, as to not make more of what seems to be common standard yellow shirt Kirks. And any revival of a star Trek line will need a Kirk and probably Spock. I'd love to see Next Generation expanded and fleshed out too.

I skipped the Romulan because I've never been a huge fan of it (the uniform is just wrong) and as for the Gorn, I just had to be patient until one came up on ebay for a semi-reasonable price.

Oh, and my EMCE Klingon has also been recycled for kitbashing, as I've never liked that uniform either: I'm using his head for Shazam's foe Black Adam (a much better head than the Mattel one, and he looks a lot more like an Egyptian to boot) and I'm using the Klingon uniform for Dr. Zaius, whom I've decided is an alien from a parallel earth where apes destroyed humanity and then went on to build an interstellar empire. One of the best things about Megos, for me, has always been the ease of kitbashing them together; I don't play with them like I did when I was a kid, but putting different heads and outfits together to make new characters according to my imagination is the way I play these days. And the Keeper is wearing that Romulan uniform now.

Definitely Nurse Chapel, Lt. Leslie & Yeoman Rand (though I use Uhura's uniform on Dinah Mite as a quick & easy substitute).

For aliens I'd love to see Mudd (would be a nice 2-fer to also do one of his Alice androids as well and have them made with random numbers on their necklace), Vina (using the WOZ witch body with a black Dinah Mite painted green just isn't doing it!) and Trelane. I also like the idea of the female Romulan (the original Mego uniform design would be more in keeping with reMego but doing the correct uniform would generate additional sales from people wanting the uniform to make a Romulan crew).

I use Richie Cunningham for Riley, too! And the blonde Swat guy (Hondo, I think?) in one of Theressa's jumpsuits makes a pretty good Kyle.

At least Diamond Select is looking at the line again. It sounds like they want to do something, but they don't know what. Unfortunately, they are missing out right now on all of the excitement generated by FTC... sort of. They are doing the Marvel Sets, so that is not entirely true.

I really felt like the EMCE Trek figures were just hitting their stride when the line fizzled. Could it have been due to the change in manufacturing? People don't seem to like the painted heads and heavier bodies that came out after the first manufacturer's run ended with Sulu & Gorn, although it worked really well on non-human things like the Salt Vampire (which looked fantastic!).

I guess you could say we're lucky to have gotten the ones we did, but it's such a shame that we didn't have the rest of the classic aliens in updated form, plus a few more crewmembers (Rand, Chapel, etc.) and then maybe some other notables like Trelane or Harry Mudd.

    Ah, well...curse you, fickle market!

As wonderful as the Emce Treks are, it saddens me that we could not have had another wave or two to add some classic crew & notable supporting cast/aliens. And several stellar James Brady sculpts coulnd have been used...

It's one of me favorite reMego lines; as with POTA, it seems that it's lack of DST support/"licensing issues," rather than buyer disinterest.

Universal Monsters seems slated for the same fate.
