The picture of the Peter figure has flesh colored hands. The set pictured doesn't show these hands. When I had the Peter Parker figure as a kid it sucked having red hands from my Spidey figure. Will it come with flesh colored hands when released?

[E=TRDouble;1141986]Agreed, but I sure wish it was a regular suit instead of the circle.[/QUOTE]

Even though the standard suit can be acquired fairly easily on the secondary market? That seems to be other people's concern about us including Spidey in general.

Yep! Like ThePlayerOnTheOtherSide had mentioned earlier, as a kid, I had a regular suit Spider-Man. Which is also the comic accurate suit. Taking a quick look on eBay, I see what you mean; there are a lot of regular Spidey suits out there and cheap. So I get why you used the circle suit -- you almost had to do Spider-Man first and if you did not differentiate the Mego suit from what is readily available on the secondary market, you might be seeing a bunch of posts letting you know just that!

Personal preference though? I would have preferred the regular Spider-Man Mego suit, freshly pulled from a factory sealed package, even if it is a repro. But I also get that having the updated suit, which is very similar to the regular Mego suit, probably played a role in using the circle suit and coming up with a way to add value to a set that had to retail for $80.

So, while the Spider-Man Set does not excite me at all, after going back and getting all but two of the excellent DST/EMCE Cloth Retro Star Trek figures (which I am actively searching for!), I am really looking forward to the other characters and sets that are coming.

And to be fair, if they had gone with the regular suit there would have been some people here complaining that they should have used the circle-suit. It was a tossup either way.

The repro box comes out of the display tray, and I'm fairly certain Peter comes with flesh hands like the new Spidey comes with web-shooting hands. I think we've only displayed mock ups of the final set.

I don't think you will ever see multi-character or multi-figure box sets due to our agreement, but who knows what the future may hold. I also don't think we're looking to make sets that are any more expensive than they already are by adding figures or characters, but again, who knows.

Excellent, if the repro box can be displayed with Spidey by itself then that makes me more likely to buy it. Would be nice to display the DC figures MOC from FTC and the Marvel figures MIB from Diamond.

Will the final version of the modern Spider-Man have the webbing under the arms? I wasn't sure if that was just a mock-up detail.

We mocked it up because we wanted to do it for real, and we still are, as far as I know.

And it's not exactly a modern Spider-Man as it is a modernized FIGURE of Spider-Man, as opposed to a Retro-styled figure. It has some classic details (web wings, for instance).

The webbing under the arms is an excellent addition.

I've waited YEARS for a web-pits Spidey Mego! That alone made this set a must get for me! Well, that and all the other goodies the set comes with, but hey...

No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Will the repro box include the correct insert? And any chance the box could be the 'Electric Company' version?

For me, circle-suit Spidey's going in the repro box to be displayed on my boxed Mego shelf, and Peter Parker and webbing-arms Spidey will be displayed together on my loose Mego shelf. And I think people are underestimating how much the Peter Parker figure is going to really elevate this set. He'll be the best alter-ego figure ever made if the release looks like the prototype. No more Shazam masquerading as Peter, thankfully.

But as I've said before, Peter is one of the few alter egos I think people really want. I have no interest in Don Blake or Bruce Banner and very little interest in Steve Rogers (unless he comes with a stealth suit.) The one alter ego I really want is Matt Murdock, and I hope EMCE are at least considering a Daredevil set. I think Daredevil is the best choice for an unproduced Mego after Wolverine, and his various looks give EMCE plenty of options--how about a Mego style DD, a modern DD and a Murdock alter ego, along with an alternate yellow and red costume, and a retractable billy club? I'd buy the crap out of that set.

Character choice is one of the things that will make or break this line.

The more I look at this set, the less I kinda want it. I dont really need a repro box with spidey, nor do I really want the other spidey suit. The actual PP costume is great though, and just wish we could get a boxed version of that.

Agree, the Peter head and clothes are the only thing they nailed in this set. Have to wonder how well this will sell if it comes out in October or so around the same time the first Superman wave or something similar comes from FTC. For the price of one figure and 2 suits from Diamond, you can get three figures MOC from FTC.
