I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be Marvel, but I'm waiting for the official news before getting too excited.
If it is Marvel, I hope they do it like their Star Trek line where they redo the classic Megos, but improving the ones that at off model (Captain America redo, Hulk and Thing correct size) and also introduce new missing characters (Doctor Doom and a bunch of X-Men). I also hope they come out a bit faster than Trek did so we don't have to wait a year for two more characters.Comment

Not really. All Paul has to do is title it something like "Big news is coming". That could mean new Star Trek or POTA or whatever. Not giving anything away that way.Comment

The Mego Spider-man is darn near perfect. The rest have so many issues, though... and Marvel brand awareness is so much greater... I don't know if today you could get away with a tiny Hulk, an Iron Man with a nose, or that off model Captain America. I'm betting the line will be updated.Comment

All Mego Spidey needed was black web lines on his head and hands. A BLACK costume Spidey would be so easy and 2014 is the 30th anniversary of Spidey's 2nd costume! I am all for updates but exact copies of original Mego Marvels 1st!Comment

This line really needs more villains. Much like the DC where the villains were mostly Bat-Villains, Marvels were Spidey-villians. We need more Marvel Villains.Visit my wiki site:

Yeah I like exact duplicates, but I agree that it would be best to update some of the more glaring issues. Keep the Mego feel with a modernernized look. Balance it I think. But thats just my opinion, and who knows what would be the most popular. My posts were needlessly deleted ...Comment

I have the DST Marvel Select 70s X-Men 7" figures- Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, and Nightcrawler and they are excellent so I want Mego 8" figures of them, too, that is X-Men era I prefer! Gotta have Prof X, Beast, Angel, Iceman, Phoenix, etc, also!Comment

The more I think about this, the more I doubt that it's going to be Marvel Megos. It's probably the pessimist in me, but I have a hard time believing it will actually happen. Hopefully I'm wrong.Comment

I like the 70s x-men better. But anyway, I always think of re-Megos as retro style figures as in the figure is made like a 70s era Mego, not necessiarily that the character selection has to be from the 70s or that their costumes have to be from the 60s or 70s. Just that the figures are built like 70s era Megos... with updates like the exclusion of rubber bands. My posts were needlessly deleted ...Comment

I'm not going to get my hopes up. If it is really Marvel I would be very disappointed if they don't reissue exact replicas of the original Megos first. No reason why we couldn't have both 60s and 70s versions of X-Men down the road.Comment
