Could Emce Bring Back Early Waves of Universal Monsters?

I have the Bride and Creature, but really, the silly secondary prices of Frankenstein and Wolfman are discouraging me from going for a complete set.

Any chance Emce could/would rerelease older waves for guys like me who were late to the party? It might help sales of the more fringey Phantom and Mutant if the tent pole characters were available.

Kenner did that back in '80 and '83 with their Star Wars characters.

Not Just Kenner... Mattel did the same with their Masters of the Universe figures, and Mego also did that with their WGSH. Can you imagine a line of toys lasting for as many years as it did, today?

I wish more companies these days would do that. There are a lot of lines out there that I have been interested in, but refused to start collecting, simply because getting the core characters would be too difficult.

Unfortunately, I don't see this idea ever coming back into fashion.

I don't think EMCE has any say - it's Diamond's call. They had a great run, and I'm sure Doc would be all for another release.

They should re-release them in black and white versions like the Twilight Zone figures.

If they released them again, I would get extra ones to display loose.

And how about Frankenstein's monster, but with Lugosi/Strange/Chaney Jr sculpts?
