I really want them now. Those pics look GREAT! But I'm in the group that doesn't want the lunch boxes. Any idea if and when they will come out in normal packaging???

I don't really feel that way about the tom baker doctor so it's interesting to back track and see when this kicked into gear. Same goes for 6 Million Dollar man and Oscar Goldman etc.
Thanks for noticing. We are not perfect, but we try hard to improve and as you know, we do actively read these boards. We took time to read comments, measured and re-measured our heads, necks, etc. And MOST important of all, we hired some of the top sculptors in the country.

Has no one mentioned Hartnell's pinky ring? Nice detail.

The Doctors do look great. I'm warming the the 11 figure. I've always liked the head, it's just still the closed coat that vexes me, looks-wise. But that's not too huge a thing.

These figures are gonna be so much better on the new, rubber band free body David Lee created.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I took the plunge and got the tin-tote. Very glad I did! The 1st Doctor is totally fantastic. Such a great release. And I really like the 11th Doctor, even with the strange velcro on it to keep the jacket closed.

                  Mine just arrived.
Hartnell is my favorite, he looks absolutely perfect. A good sculpt, and outfit to match. I love the details like the rings on his hands.
Smith is fine, but I have finally figured out what slightly bothers me about him, and figures like BSG: proportions.
When you take all the components one by one, they are just great, but Matt Smith's collar size and bow tie size are too big. Now I know, bow ties are cool, but they should be somewhat smaller.
I have a feeling that everybody on the assembly line in China is doing a good job, but it's matching the different components for size that sometimes goes a little wrong.
This makes the outfit for Smith a little too big for his body. If this could be done in the 70s for Mego, it should be possible now. Same for that big velcro holding his jacket closed, it's a bit big for the job.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the Smith figure, just some constructive criticism. It's definitely going in the right direction, and it worked really well for Hartnell.

                  Maybe next time, we'll get a Troughton-Tennant two-pack?

I'm still waiting for the figures to be available without the lunch boxes. I really want all of the Doctors on cards so they match. I'd actually really like the carded packaging to be openable like the Universal Monsters so I could take them out and display them, then put them back.

It figures, I have been waiting for the carded version. I finally gave in and ordered the 2 pack tin on monday, and 2 days later the carded figures are available. Oh well, I think I will order an extra Smith on the card. I like that Rory and Amy are pictured on the card, as much as I would like to have them in retro style I'd like to see all the doctors made first.

I should of waited for the cards as well, good to see the new line up of figures though on the cards. Also why has the card format changed? So does this mean, that the BSG figures will be released on cards?

                                Terrific!
I waited because I also wanted them carded (as are all the other ones I have), but eventually bought the ones from the tote, thinking "I have no other option".
Now they bring out the carded ones! And Hartnell is limited to about 500 each.

And I don't have the $$ for another set, and don't want the hassle of re-selling the loose ones.
Don't get me wrong, I like the loose ones...but it messes with my Dr.Who display bigtime.

It does teach me a wonderful lesson: if another Tin Tote set is proposed...walk away...
