    BSG Tin Tote Set Review

I received this today and was VERY pleased with how everything turned out.

My main concern was the pose-ability of Muffit, which turned out to be very flexible. Muffit's joints provided me with the ability to arrange him however I needed him to stand (or sit). I found no limitations in achieving the look I wanted.

Boxey is perfectly scaled and has a descent likeness to the actor. The Tucana Singer figure has a very nice head sculpt and wears a well tailored outfit. A cool addition to the series!

The tin tote is beautifully done. The artwork is colorful and crisp. Here are a number of shots showing all the artwork.

The figures are encased in a plastic, form fitting, container that protects them while in the tin tote.

It pulls out with ease and the top lifts off effortlessly. A nice touch for gift sets.

Overall I found this set to be an excellent addition to the series. Each figure has good likeness and poses nicely. I could find no production issues or limitations in their use. And the tin tote now serves as a practical container which protects the figures inside. Great idea Jason! I have no problem giving this a 10 out 10 rating. If you're a BSG fan and have enjoyed this series, this is a MUST-HAVE. I'll include some shots later of these figures in the BSG play set. Congrats to the entire artistic team that brought this to the fans. It was well worth the wait.

Is the tin tote the same size as the vintage lunchbox?

Thanks for the detailed review. I never bought any BBP Galactica figures, but this set I may buy.

Yep! It's identical in size. It's a great set too. I like these because the spirit of nostalgia is so lovingly on display here. You have a limited run of Mego-style figures in a perfect replica of the 70's lunchbox. It's hard to be a fan of the show and not find immediate appeal to these.

How did they manage the limbs on the chimp dog thing? BBP said it was ridiculous, but practical.

Instead of legs, they added another set of arms. It works!

Overall this is one of my favorite sets they've done. The tin tote in particular is beautiful, though the color on the edging looks more green in real life than the yellow I expected! But it still looks good. And the Tocana Singer is one of my favorite figures in the line! And too think so many here didn't want her! I'm glad they got her in. I'd kind of like to have two more, though.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I guess that is in line with being chimp like.

Had this waiting for me when we got back from vacation. It is a wonderful set and I love the tin tote. This goes down as my favorite for the year.

I do want to mention that the daggit had the left side elastic band split in half where the fold was for the shorter body and both arms were loose in the costume. I had some Mego bands on hand, so I was able to swap it out with no problem, but wanted to give a heads up that had happened.
                              It's all good!
