But my purchase will greatly depend on the price. I might go as high as $50, but anything higher and my interest drops proportionately. I can get a displayable Bridge for $50 or so on eBay.
To see all of this Mego product coming back out is simply breathtaking. If these lines continue to be successful, I don't see any reason why we won't see a new RC Batman again or any of the other World's Greatest Superheroes. If Marvel or DC are watching... PAY ATTENTION!!!!
OK Paul, you've done it now. A show accurate Gorn? Sulu, Checkov? This is the day I'vel been waiting for since you announced the license. My heartiest thanks and congratulations. I'm looking forward to them all, and I'm also particularly excited to hear about new licenses. New Mego Scale figures are what interest me most about collecting nowadays.
HEAVEN!! I'm in HEAVEN!! This is UNBELIEVABLE News!! All My Mego dreams are coming true...accurate GORN, Checkov & Sulu, and the Bridge Playset...I WANT THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay! Looking forward to the repros and the new figures. Believe it or not, as much as I love the TV accurate Gorn, I would've loved the Mego cobbled version as well. But he is wasy enough to piece together or buy. Thanks to Paul for going through the hoops nessasary to get this thing off the ground.
YAH! Everything is being displayed now! Toy Fair is begun! I can talk!
Chekov and Sulu are Brady sculpts, as is the Gorn. They are not
exclusives. The Gorn is show accurate - he is not shown on the
display because he is a rough stetch prototype.
So, will there be a vintage Mego style Gorn at some point?

"Our own"??? Now that's a very mysterious comment!
I was at Toy Fair today but did not get over to DST's showroom where they keep
the Trek and Apes.
The Apes and Trek figures in the displays are wearing China samples, not vintage
costumes. That is why the Mugato is missing his V emblem and his shirt is a
darker green. I have already pointed those gaffs to China - they will be fixed
by production.
Personally I would love to make a Galileo 7 shuttlecraft playset. If retailers
interest in the Enterprise is high, maybe I can get that made as well.

Weird! I was going to post that very suggestion but decided against it, thinking there's no chance of it. Sculpting and tooling would cost alot, so I didn't bother suggesting it.
For that same reason, I've not suggested giving Capt. Pike (if we get that deep into the line) the large ray-rifle used in the pilot.
This is only my second post to the Musuem, I have been here for awhile just lurking.
The very sight of all these Mego inspired figures at Toy Fair is freakin awesome! It's like Christmas 1975 all over again for me! Thanks Doc, you've made a grown man cry.
Put me down for 2 of each figure and 2 enterprises- I want the ape playsets
to be made and new trek playsets.
Hey Doc, what's up with the quote from superman 2? A possible clue of
things to come!
