I called the Richmond In store and got this info from Meagan!!!
It will be released in June. Meagan suggested I call back in April and perhaps I can order then. I thought everyone would like to know!!

Sounds like someone painting Diamond as the bad guy to me.

However you wish to interpret it...

I said that exclusives could create a problem with availability. Dr Mego said the decision was entirely Diamond's, and EMCE is obligated (by goodwill or contract) to acquiesce to that demand.

Diamond will paint itself as a bad guy if lifelong Star Trek Mego fans go empty-handed and disenchanted with the new EMCE line. Exclusives are wholly unnecessary when dealing with such a limited production project as this one. Diamond is stuck in a 1990s mindset.

If there turns out to be any ill will, I'd rather it go towards the distributor than the fan-friendly production company.

The culprit being Diamond and not EMCE makes me feel better.

I still think it's premature to paint Diamond as some sort of Bad Guy here.

Nobody's a bad guy...yet. It would only be bad if the exclusive led to fans missing out. If the Khans aren't hard to get, then no harm no foul.

Pics over at CoolToyReview show the retail of Khan to be $18.99, the same as all the other figures in the line.

It may indicate nothing, but could also suggest the production run will be the same as normal. Which bodes well for us all.
