Question on Picard

I just got my new next gen Picard and borg megos, and I noticed that Picard is missing his phaser, none of them in the sho had one but on th back of the packaging he is clearly shown with one, does anyone have any idea why they "short changed" us on picard like that?

Doc mego sells the phaser in an 8.00 weapons pack.

Thats not the nxt gen Phaser from the back though, I guess I'll have to dig out my diamond select set and use the phaser from them or cast one
