BBP Rudy Wells arrives (photos)

I took the picture with this perspective on purpose because the head is so much bigger. The bodies are the same height.

perspective is a little squirrely since you have Steve forward in the pic. The new bbp body is not shorter than a regular mego. Any way to redo this with the figures back to back/heel to heel?

Chris, I think either you're cool with the bigger heads (and more power to you!) or there is production variation. The head is clearly too large in the photos. Any chance of using the ol' ruler on your copy to compare? From bottom of neck to top of head?

I'm seeing them as between 3.8cm and 3.9cm tall. Maybe Boss could supply the same?

Clear plastic limbs (Atomic Man-style) was the original plan, but I think they ended up doing silver limbs instead. I really don't understand why BBP hasn't shown this to us yet. I'm still on the fence with these figures. I'd really like to see how they handled the bionic components.

I just got my Rudy set from Entertainment Earth. It's nice to have a new SMDM product, in hand, but I have to be honest and say I'm a little disappointed in the set. The lunchbox is great and mimics the look of the old toy accessory very well. I was disappointed, though, to open the lunch box and see a taped up folded piece of brown cardboard holding the figure (even Mego went to more trouble than this, back in the day, for mailer figures). The Rudy sculpts look great but, like many have noticed, are far too large. I really hope the rest of the line isn't like this because it kind of ruins it for me. These guys won't look right with Megos and other ReMegos, if so. Also, one of the sleeves on the shirt didn't get folded right when it was stitched so a portion of the sleeve is unsewn. After the great sculpts, costumes, and proportions on BBP's Twilight Zone figures, I was really excited for the SMDM line. Right now, I'm feeling kind of let-down, though.

I got out my Zica bodies out and put on my Alan O. Rudy head. Other than the skin color issue, he looks much, much better. I plan on getting some suits and swapping the hands with my Lost figures to create a decent Rudy ... and SMDM and Oscar too.

Hey Bosek. Can you share some pics of Rudy on a Zica body? That would be interesting to see.

how do the clothes fit? zica bodies tend to be a little bigger than other 1/9 scale bodies.

Here you go. As you can see, the larger heads go well with the Zica bodies. I did a hand transplant on Alan too. The clothes fit fine. Just need to put in an order on classic tv toys for some suits when I get paid this week.

I notified Entertainment Earth that my Rudy had two right legs. They are sending me a replacement Rudy figure. No hassels and I don't have to return the defective Rudy either.
