 It's not Hal Jordan who DC is making "fabulous" - it's poor Alan Scott on
 "Earth 2" - who had a MUCH gayer costume than Hal's.
 
 I have made a few Golden Age Green Lantern customs in my day, and
 the ballerina boots, the billowy shirt and the purple high collar cape
 (and don't get me started on the riding pants) did not always strike
 me as the best outfit to fight crime in.Comment

 If I recall properly, didn't he pick such a garish costume so's to freak people out and distract them from guessing his identitiy? 'Course most superhero outfits aren't really practical.
