    Retro's in the Wild

So, today I had taken my daughter to a doctor's appointment. I promised her, If she behaved, and didn't give the doctor and problems, I would buy her a new toy.

She was well behaved, so as a reward I promised, we headed over to a place in Mamaroneck NY called Miller's. really nice throw back toy store with things you don't normally see in places like toys R us.

so she goes rummaging through stuff trying to find herself something. I'm just looking around not really paying mind to anything but her.....she then reacts to something and says " Daddy LOOK! CAPTAIN MARVEL!!......I looked to see and low and behold I see a whole bunch of Rero figures and NO PEG WARMERS!!! I reacted like the first time, when I bought my Mego Captain Marvel. for a few minutes I was ten years old all over again....

This is why I like to go INTO a store and buy my figures right then and there. not order it online. I love the thrill of seeing them displayed in the store.....I decided just to buy Cap and was able to choose from three they had the other Caps had some issues with sloppy paint jobs.....another reason why I DON"T buy my figures online i have to see what I buy.

and my Kid got her self a Fancy Nancy doll....cause Daddy was in a good mood.....lol
Pics from my camera phone...I was giddy so the pics blurred on me....lol

    Steve.

Thats cool. My wife this last weekend wanted to go shopping, while she went into KOHLs, I went into Gordmans next door, cause I know there toy dept is a little better than Kohls, I thought maybe they have some Retros in there, and low and behold there was a Cheetah and Captain Cold for 12.00 bucks a piece, also the sales clerk rang them up w/20% off in store coupon, I thought sweet. Not bad for a boring saturday night.

That's cool. I bought my Captain Cold at TRU, it was nice buying something in the store.

My TRU never got past wave one. To this day there is still one lonely, hunched over Luthor.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Same here. To this day they still have seven or eight figures of Lex and Sinestro hanging there. Everything has been discounted EXCEPT them. Go figure...

Wow!!! Cool find KW. My local TRU ran wave 1 only. Even after all figures were sold. They just passed on further Retro action figs. Clerks just told me to go online for other figures. I did find a store selling RAH's, EMCE Apes, Night of the Living Dead and some other action figures. Unfortunately the guy running the shop had the mark-up to high. I bought what I could afford. It was no surprise when I went back his shop was locked up and empty.

Hey that's great! It's cool when you can grab those little "way back machine" moments. So take 'em any way you can get 'em!

Just found the same ones and a Superman at our Gordman's for 7.99 each. Took another Shazam.
It was like that when I got here.
