Hopefully some of you guys remember me. I've checked in from time to time but haven't been around much for several years. I had gotten out of the Mego game and had sold off all of my figures except copies of the ones I had as a kid.
I've had the bug resurface lately but a divorce has left me without a ton of funds in the short term. So I decided that picking up some Retro Action figures would be the way to get back into the hobby. Thanks to a post here, I've started picking up some cheap on Amazon and got my first, Captain Cold today.
So nothing new here. Most of you already have the set and multiples, I'm sure. But I did want to jot down a couple of thoughts. Everyone involved with getting these made should be extremely proud. You talk about a time machine trip! I have always collected non-carded/boxed figures so I had some trepidation about whether I would be able to take the good Captain off the car. Luckily (although this wouldn't normally be so) the plastic tray was damaged during shipping so it was a no brainer. It was '76 all over again as I tore into that package. Terrific homage to the way our favorite figures were made and he sure looks great on the shelf with my other figures. The only complaint I had was a loose body but he's able to stand on his own and that's all I need.
