However, Toy Guru has more knowledge about the Mattel internal
attitudes about this line. I would not expect to see anything
announced at Toy Fair from Mattel.

I will say that when we had a meeting in October 2010, Mattel assured
us the line was doing well and went continue for more than 2 years.
Then in December there was a major personnel change at Mattel
and the line was in jeopardy.
Thanks for everthing Doc. I don't see any reason to bite your lip, it seems Mattel has abandoned the Retro line/concept. I for one would like to hear your insight.

      crimson?

Who's Crimson? Maybe you mean Carolyn - who does the painting and
now a good amount of sewing - oh, and 3D computer design too!

The prototypes are Mattel's property - I kept one of everything for the
archives. Maybe someday I will show them off.

Ok...so now there's a definite chance Bif Bang Pow/EMCE can transition the property to their sandbox, right?

I think he looks very striking. Almost in motion even when standing still.

Sorry CrimsonGhost. I sometimes get too loose using short names. Thanks for your work on this line! I hope to see that continued on other lines with EMCE. Are you allowed to mention which sculpts you did? If not, that's cool. Just wanted to make sure you got a proper shout out for helping make our dreams come true.

Andy Covalt (CrimsonGhost) has been CIA quiet about all his work on
Retro Action. In fact, he and Dave Mc helped us get the Green Arrow
and Green Lantern prototypes done to show DC and Mattel as
                          proof of concept.

Great job, Andy!!! The Green Arrow is fantastic.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I agree, I thought every figure was great and appreciated the hard work in getting this to happen. I got to open new Mego's for the first time since I was a kid and I got to watch my little girl open a RA Wonder Woman and flip out. She thought it was great. Any criticism about bodies and other things is a passing thing. This was a great line and I hope Dr. Mego can find a way to get any remaining figures to us.
