4th Doctor coat and scarf leeching color into the pvc.

The 4th Doctor head and Hands are leeching red color from the coat and scarf.

I've been doing a lot of MEGO costume dying lately and it seems it's practically unavoidable with PVC and Red/orange tones.
The face has a bit of rose color now whwere the scarf was around , I can't figure out why the hands have it since they are not acutally touching the coat, but I can only think it must be due to me handling the toy(Which makes no sense ?.) I did find a solid cresent line this morning where the coat cuff was touching the back of the hand while on my shelf.

I dyed a couple of Jumpsuits orange and my first batch leeched into the PVC body pretty fast.

Makes no sense it would be on the hands though.
      It's a funky coat, Ultra-suede maybe?

Would spraying it with Scotch Guard help?

Retie his scarf so the red isnt touching the vinyl. Try a different color. it helps.

The Jacket is really the problem and I think it's Ultra Suede ahich I'm afraid to wash. ( It's a really nice jacket !)

I'm thinking a soft hand wash will solve it, but I'm timid to do so, haha.
