    NBC/Universal..."Emergency!"

Since EMCE is "working" with NBC/Universal, what about a new line of "EMERGENCY!" figures?

Of course, LJN did them back in the 70s along with SWAT and the Rookies. But, these would be so much better this time around.

    Any possibility of this happening?

    - Ian

PS. ADAM-12 is also an NBC/Universal property.
Rampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?

I don't think many people would get too excited about that property

You never know, Emergency! does have a fan following. I'd love to see a line come out as I have made abundantly clear

Emergency was a weekly TV show that was on in the early 70s. It was a pretty exciting show but that was when I was 7... and it was 1974. I haven't seen it since then so I don't know how well it holds up, today.

I do remember tuning in each week, though, and it did have a decent amount of licensed merchandise released. I'm guessing most people under 40 don't remember it all.

Thanks! I honestly had never heard of it. I might poke around the internet and see if I can watch an episode.

The show is streaming on Netflix so you can check it out that way if you want to.

It also had an animated spin off called Emergency+4

Hmmm, if you could link this up with a dvd release or something......maybe?.....Would be cool to see happen. Maybe not lucrative, but cool

The show is released on DVD in it's entirety already. It did have enough sales to get the entire 6 seasons out in a steady fashion (unlike other shows I love like Adam 12 and Dragnet which got abandoned after the first season releases by Universal until SHOUT! decided to continue the releases years later)

Great show! And I would love to see something like that, but I don't think the market is big enough even for a small run. If they could, I would be screaming for another run at Starsky & Hutch!

How come they never did a Dixie (Nurse) figure?

I'm sure she was in Emergency.

loved the show as a kid....but there is not a large enough market for these figures

I figure the market is too small, as well. It was mainly wishful thinking.

And, I think the show still holds up pretty well. Others must agree since all six seasons have been released on DVD by NBC/Universal plus a seventh season of TV movies that NBC/Universal also released earlier this year.

In 2001, "Emergency!" artifacts were donated to the Smithsonian museum of American history upon request. Equipment and uniforms, etc that were used on the series were placed into the public service section.
