I just hope they will be comparable in quality to the ZICA Buck Rogers figures. A removable Viper pilot helmet for Starbuck, Apollo and Boomer would be really AWESOME!Leader of the Hunt: I don't understand these animal psychologists. What is Dr. Zira trying to prove? Lemme see, it's October, and they are going to be showing these next June/July, right?

That's eight long, long, LONG months from now.

There had better be pics of the protos pretty soon, dudes, I'm already salivating over just the idea of these.JediJaidaComment

Good point, but I wouldn't want to have to pop each head on and off all the time with the way MEGO heads are actually mounted. Too much wear and tear on the figure and you'd end up with two versions of each character in the end, just for the sake of having one with a helmet. Honestly though, if Hasbro can mass produce a 3 3/4" (1:18 scale) Darth Vader with a removable helmet, face mask AND chin/neck guard, something just as good and most likely even better can be done in 1:9 scale. ZICA is the only one that has even come close to even doing that - since MEGO introduced the pilot/astronaut helmet. Which, by the way, was made up of more than a single piece of plastic. AND... the visor worked! You wouldn't even need that for Viper helmets. Just a nice sculpt, a good color match for the plastic and some decent paint ops and you'd have it. Absolutely no disrespect intended, but does the Twilight Zone Bob Wilson/Don Carter Figure have a helmet? I can't find any reference to it in the pre-order advance pics. Bob Wilson's Helmet

The helmet was given to him along with a straight jacket when Bob went into the rubber room after his flight. So really, great accessory.

Ha ha! Highly possible! Or maybe, after getting off the plane, he was given a Hockey mask like Hannibal Lecter, just to shut him up. Or maybe it was Halloween, so they gave him a William Shatner (Michael Myers) mask.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...lmyers2007.JPG Leader of the Hunt: I don't understand these animal psychologists. Does anyone else want to see a 1:9 scale Baltar and Lucifer? Imagine the Cylon Basestar diorama with podium you could build for that!Leader of the Hunt: I don't understand these animal psychologists. What is Dr. Zira trying to prove? Dr. Zaius: That man can be domesticated. Comment

Don't get me wrong. I want a removable helmet too. I am just throwing ideas out there. It's fun.Good point, but I wouldn't want to have to pop each head on and off all the time with the way MEGO heads are actually mounted. Too much wear and tear on the figure and you'd end up with two versions of each character in the end, just for the sake of having one with a helmet. If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment
