I wonder why Big Bad Toy Store is still showing these as coming in October? That's where I preordered mine. I'm thinking I should have just waited and bought them locally.

The blue faced Dracula in the background IS a custom, but I didn't make it. Its really awesome, isnt it! That kind of custom work is well beyond MY capabilities as a customizer! Call the CMonster if ya want one of those......He posted pics of them about 6 months ago or thereabouts....

I agree...I also wish they had gone with the larger custom-sculpted hands like the other three figures. Dracs hands seem kind of small in comparison, and his signature ring is missing.

Found these at a Toys 'r Us in Central Ohio today, so I was able to cancel my preorder. The figures look great, but I don't know why they had to change the card art. I wish they would have just stuck with the black and white pictures on the front. As a MOC collector, it would have looked much better if all four cards were the same, but definitely not worth buying a new set of series 1 figures. Hopefully it wasn't a ploy to garner more sales from those of us who will be keeping these carded.

Yah that was a big miss. I wonder why Doc didn't have sculpted hands made???

While I do wish his hands were a paler color, I actually prefer the size of Dracula's hands over the others. The Mummy's hands in particular look freakishly large to me.

The size of Dracula's hands are fine. It's just that they could have been sculted like the rest. They don't really fit in that well with the rest of the figure. When MEGO first released the Mad Monster Series, they all had sculpted creepy looking hands. Draculas hands could have been done that way.

I am absolutely, completely & utterly satisfied with these latest 2 figures EMCE / Diamond released. Also, they released them early. (At least EARLIER than I was expecting to get them). That was something I kept childishly complaining about to myself! "Why do we have to wait ALL the way till October?! I wish they'd just release them already..." Bam! They DID release them early!!! Thanks sooooo much EMCE & Diamond!!! You guys freakin' ROCK! And so do your Universal Monster figures. I dont post a ton here at the museum, but when i do its usually monster related. Keep 'em coming EMCE/Diamond, & I'll keep buying em! You're 4 for 4 so far, so I already can't wait till next year's two!!

I went by Toys R Us in Chattanooga this evening looking for these but nothing yet. The guy working in the action figure aisles told me they would be in on the next truck tonight or tomorrow sometime. I'm really excited about these so I hope so.

i like the mummy, looks like boris a lot. The Dracula, I dislike, i think his hands are to big, and the color is way way off, why does he have a pale whitish face and pinkish/red hands? I also hate the face color, I think they painted the face again, just like they did to Capt. Pike, since I have not openned mine yet can anyone confirm this?
P.S. I think this Dracula looks a lot like the spanish Dracula which was filmed side by side with the original Lagosi Dracula, anyone agree?

I really hate all the painted faces which is why I don't buy these Universal figures. When did Mego ever fully paint a head? The main surface area of the head should always by that plastic/vinyl material. Ugh.
