Got the Retro Action Aquaman for a pretty good price on Ebay last week ($16 w/free shipping), and I get him today, and he is pretty much permanently hunched over. Not bent double, more similar to an old guy with a back problem. Looks pretty dumb. Anyone else have this problem with theirs? I'm really disappointed with how this Retro-Action hero turned out.

It's a problem with all the first release Mattel Retro figures that they fixed in later waves.
You can either replace the Matty body with any of the custom mego scale bodies offered by Doc Mego, Cast-a-Way or Zica, or alternatively check out the various fixes that members have suggested in this forum as well as the custom section.
Personally for me, the easiest solution I've tried based on a suggestion by a member here is just slipping some thin pieces of rubber or craft foam between the waist joints, that keeps the torso from flopping around. -
Wow. I had no idea. Thanks for the response. I'll do some research here on the site for more on the remedies you mentioned.
What a shame this happened on the early waves. That could not have been good for later sales.
My Black Manta does not seem to suffer from this issue.Comment

You're not describing the symptoms of osteoporosis. With osteoporosis, you break bones...
I think you've misdiagnosed your action figure...

I had the same thing with multiple figures. I am keeping them in their boxes. I found that you can generally fix it in the box by pushing the head back. Or you can run a crochet hook up from the bottom. I did that to fix belts and set the green lanterns upright in the packages.
We won't discuss how many men in their 40's have crochet hooks.

I just put my Arthur head on a T2 body and he's my Johnny Storm custom....!!
Had to dismantle and crack open the torso, but it was SO worth it saving that neck plug.
I came close to putting him on a spare Doc Mego muscle body, perhaps I should have, but he's just fine as is.Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.
