This is great news. With all the bad news recently about DC Retro, Trek and Buck Rogers I sure didn't have much hope about DS continuing. I think it is one of the better Re-Mego lines in my opinion.

A reminder of Dark Shadows goodness to come (fingers crossed)...I'll take em whenever I can get em, but Spectre/EE lost out on a HUGE sales & marketing opportunity with the movie hitting next weekend. A major, brand-revitalizing movie in theaters world-wide and not even a pre-order to capitalize on this yet? Hopefully the movie will at least boost series 1 sales, but with the main character out of stock everywhere, it also looks like efforts could've been made to restock Barnabas (before November).

I have the first 3 figures and they are very good. I'm delighted that BBP signed on. I'll pick up the next set of new characters for that reason alone. Lastly, the card art is outstanding.

I have my preorders in...I hope these are produced on the same (size) cardbacks as the previous three. It's such an aesthetic eyesore trying to display any BBP line together with their packaging changes midway through the line (twilight zone, venture bros., lost, etc.)

Btw- anyone who received their emce NotLD Barbra and Karen - what is up with those cardbacks?!? Just terrible quality and far below the first series.

I recieve the EE e-mail newsletter & was so stoked to see the Dark Shadows figures listed!

Several months ago I noticed the wave 1 figures & started watching old episodes of the show on youtube.

I had seen Angelique on eBay & Entertainment Earth but never Barnabas. Very glad he is being released again.

Only a few weeks ago I noticed the new movie is coming out so I really hope we get a few more series of figures.

I saw the Julia Hoffman figure a while back. She looks pretty cool but seemed to need a lot more/darker eye makeup. Although the figure may be based of earlier episodes.


Anyway...just had to share my excitement about these figures.

You're right. Same with Josette. Grayson Hall and Kathryn Leigh Scott both had heavy lashes in their roles, and the lack thereof on the prototypes hurt the resemblance IMO. I think the likenesses would improve considerably in both cases with the addition of a heavy upper lid lash paint app. Hopefully this is a possibility considering licensor approval and production timeline - I think it's definitely worth it!
