I totally spazzed out for a moment just before clicking on the link because I thought it was going to be Dawn of the Dead as a follow up to their Night of the Living Dead figures.
To answer JediJaida... she's an indie comic book "bad girl", who is better drawn than most of them. She's a fave among gothy cosplayers. http://www.linsner.com/ Wikimedia Error
Only vaguely familiar of the character. I know of it but nothing about it. I think it's great they went with rooted hair though. Just not Mego or Mego-like with molded hair.
And hey! Look, a little David Hasslehoff! Wicked.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
I think we'll be getting some mileage out of redheaded custom figures from this one. I'm already thinking Phoenix, Black Widow, and maybe a RM Hawkgirl off the top of my head.
truly great work there.
As I stated in the sdcc pic thread, this piece and the custom red Sith twillik gal have shown that the Mego bod can be used for great female figures.
It just occurs to me... Diamond's Femme Fatales branded line means others also have possibilities for Mego treatment...
Alice in Wonderland
Pirate...
Lady Death...
Tarot
Darkchylde
Other than Alice, most of these would need something closer to the Mattel female body. I'm not personally into any of these characters (other than maybe Alice and the pirate), but my mind reels at the custom possibilities with parts from these ones.
