I would think seriously about it,
if there were some real projections put out to what was coming in the future.
I guess if I had to buy something like Guy Gardner, I would put it up for sale right away.

Agreed 100% T-Bolt, in fact it's the ONLY way I will sign to support this. After this terrible GL wave, I'm not sticking my neck out for this line to continue if that's what they're going to pick for characters. As far as I'm concerned, I'd join up if EVERY character they make has been in DC comics consistently for at least 2 decades. Anything short of that is a flash-in-the-pan character, like these GL's, and not worth action figure format before other iconic characters. That's why I'm not supporting the Retro Line to continue...they did exactly what I knew they were going to do by wasting resources on these ridiculous GL's before getting the truly wanted characters done first. Now we're stuck with what's probably the only DC Superhero toy line in HISTORY that has a Batman but no Robin. The GL's were a preposterous choice of characters when they were announced and they seem even more insultingly preposterous now. The only way I'd support this line to continue is if Mattel releases a Robin and commits to making only the characters that have earned a comic tenure of at least 2 decades. Anything short of that, forget it, I'm not supporting future releases like Superman Blue and Broccoli-head Green Lantern. Mattel's simply let me down too hard with this line.Last edited by LOU; Jul 23, '11, 4:03 PM.Comment

if there was an option of buying what figures you wanted i would do it to. i still think they should just keep making a wave here and there of desirable figures every year that would be easy to obtain...Comment

I would join IF we were given a good idea of the coming character selection, with maybe a few surprises here and there. I don't trust Mattel's character selection, at this point. The last two waves were okay but I never saw them at retail (where I would have definitely bought them). Having to track down characters I wasn't overly excited about online and pay extra for shipping kind of soured me on the line (although, I'm picking a few up now). If Robin, Joker, Supergirl, etc. (some heavy-hitters) had been part of waves 4 and 5, I would have definitely tracked them down online. I know the Bat characters have been done to death but, at the end of the day, they sell and do help perpetuate lines staying alive.Last edited by Delusional B; Aug 26, '11, 12:42 PM.Comment

I think that a subscription would be cool for Retro Action figures! At least you can order a set quantity of figures at once! I like being able to buy multiples. Also I'd be down to let Doc work his magic with any and all of the figures that he or the powers that be chooses! Some will be hits...some will be misses...but it doesn't seem any different than any of the other lines. (This means you Pike). I'm still gonna get him and make a cool RA Captain Marvel! I thought mattel passed on the subscription plan!Comment
