Predictions for EMCE/BBP/Diamond at SDCC

I know we're mostly fixated on Matty and DC Retro action right now, but how about wild guessing games at what other Mego figures might be revealed at San Diego Comicon?

My stab in the dark is that they are moving on from TOS Trek's and doing movie figures. Starting with the Wrath of Khan duo of Kirk and Khan, followed by Spock from 4 and a movie style Klingon... Hopefully Christopher Lloyd from 3.

Venture Bros, I hope we actually see proto's for Jefferson Twilight and the Alchemist (Brock as Sphinx Agent?). With an announcement of Sgt Hatred and those creepy little guys that hang out with Dr Girlfriend in a two pack using the new kid body.

I cam't remember if they have announced the next set of Universal Monsters, but let's say they will show the Bride and The Creature for release next year.

Dr who gets a Tardis play set, and we get to see the third Doctor and a Dalek.

Eastbound and down gets one talking figure, everyone here will go huh? And hipsters will buy lots of them.

The amazing Kreskin's big dark horse prediction... Hanna barbera Superheroes, starting with Space Ghost and Blue Falcon/dynomutt.

CAT will announce their Commando Cody license, and a special SDCC colorway for the Phantom.

BBP will unveil the 8" Knight Rider figure, and announce a Scaroth from City Of Death made of real spaghetti, and a Hartnell Dr made only in Black and White (Get your tinting and painting guides started early). The rest of the Who offerings will drain my wallet of money. Maybe even spaghetti Scaroth, I really like Scaroth.

Odeon will announce it's new Ark II line by satellite link, bumping the 20th Century Fox schedule for the main media hall.

The BIG NEWS:

HASBRO WILL ANNOUNCE IT'S RE-ENTRY INTO THE 9" FORMAT WITH MARVEL FIGURES!

Nightmask will be the first up, followed by selections from his New Universe friends Merc, Spitfire and Kickers Inc.!
... Tragically, sales will be soft, the 9" in lieu of 8" format declared dead and everyone will go home sad. But hey! Nightmask!

All smartassness aside, I cant even imagine what will be next. Never, EVER, thought I would see Dark Shadows or Lost figures!

Would really love to see new product shown but I would just be happy to see the Dark Shadows, Star Trek and Twilight Zone that were shown last year finished. I really am in hopes though to at least see more Universal Monsters and at least more Retro Heroes to finish out 2011.

I'm curious why the SMDM keeps getting overlooked. I would think that is a viable license right now. But no one seems to be going after it. I wonder if the license holders are being particularly greedy about what they want upfront and royalty share?

I would think that the SMDM line would sell well.

It is probably no doubt the greed factor keeping it from happening.

With RAH dead, other than the Universal Monsters and a modest affection for Trek I'm not into any of the other new reMego figures.
