Whatever Happened to "Each Sold Separately"?

I was going to buy that Phantom dude from Venture Bros. but all the pre-orders require you to buy a second figure in order to get him.

Luckily most times, I want both figures anyway but in this case I'd like to just buy the one.

Are there any online stores who sell these guys individually?

Better yet, are bodies going be sold anywhere?

I know that if you contact EE, they'll sell you individual ones. Most stores sell them individually as well.

Theres 2 Dr Who sets coming out . I only want one from each set. Then I have two guys lefet over no-one wants. I was going to wait but it looks like some of these NeoMegos get gobbled up quick and appreciate: Barnabus collins.

Unfortunately it seems many of these figures cost more when they're split up at many retailers. I don't really get it. I know sometimes they were doing two to a set to basically make sure the less popular figures sold as well, but some of the two packs both have heavy hitters so it seems a waste. This is particularly annoying if you're planning on army building or want two of a particular character for a specific reason.

But it is what it is. I guess we can be thankful to get some of these guys at all.
