If we could get Vina, Chapel, Rand and repros of the original Mego Neptunian, Talos and Gorn ( as much as I love the show accurate version ) it would be a dream come true for me. Emce has really done an awesome job on Trek so far.

How much this line has slowed/halted when there are so many figure left to do is really sad. These Mego lines are so much fun, and they all keep getting cancelled!Comment

It's all based on sales
Not exactly cancelled, but held up. If the store owners who go
to Toy Fair and SDCC aren't feeling confident that they will sell
something, that will tell DST or BBP or Mattel whether or not to
go into production.
You guys are a great focus group, but the retailers are the ones
buying cases, so if they are unsure about placing an order, it
speaks volumes to the manufacturers.

Well, I hope there are tons of prototypes for retailers to see at SDCC so they have something to get excited about. Personally, I've got a long list of figures I'd still love to see:
Kirk ("Mirror, Mirror")
Kirk (Green V-neck)
Kirk (Starfleet Dress Uniform)
Kirk (Pilot)
Spock ("Mirror, Mirror")
Spock (Pilot)
Sulu ("Mirror, Mirror")
Uhura ("Mirror, Mirror")
Scotty ("Mirror, Mirror")
McCoy ("Mirror, Mirror")
McCoy (Short sleeves)
Chekhov ("Mirror, Mirror")
Lt. Marlena Moreau ("Mirror, Mirror")
Mego Neptunian
Mego Talos
Kahn (Gold Tunic)
...and don't even get me started on Next Generation!Comment

It really is looking grim for most of the 8 inch lines we have seen come about recently. It seems that every time there is a slight ray of hope we will get something new it gets shot down pretty quickly. POTA got cut really short, Star Trek has really slowed with rumours of cancellation, Dark Shadows is on hold and with the recent news of the cancellation of Retro-Heroes it is very discouraging to collectors of 8 inch figures. Though I am very thankful to Emce, Biff Bang Pow, Zica and others for the characters that actually have been produced and I know it is not thier fault for those that do not get produced, it really is discouraging to see a lot of really cool prototypes and get excited about collecting a certain line and then only get a few characters out of them actually produced.Comment

While it is great to have all these choices available - it is really too much
of a good thing. There are so many figures out there that retailers are
unable to buy them all so the more marginal ones are being dropped.
I would rather slow the pace down a little so we can enjoy what
does get made.Comment

You guys at Emce have my 100% support Doc. All the figures you guys have made so far are really awesome. You have made a life long dream of mine come true and I really am enjoying what we do get made.Comment

An Embarrassment of Riches
I have to agree with Paul on this. It just seemed like so much great product came out all at once all largely targeted to the same core collector base that nothing could really survive. I would have bought all the Star Trek stuff instead of picking and choosing, but I had to also get some of the DC hero's and Twilight Zone and Dark Shadows, but each figure was $20+shipping. I also have too many big boxes of non displayed stuff already in my basement, so the additional cash outlay is hard to justify.
