Symbols get misappropriated and misused all the time. Just because people like Levay may have used them doesn't give them ownership over the symbol or its meaning.

The badge of the Texas Rangers is also a pentagram.

    BTW: I didn't buy the figure. I can't stand Anthrax's music.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

No, I'm sure Anton LeVay would agree with you, as LeVay was a known satanist and would grasp on to anything that would further his cause. He was actually a carny, IMHO. And I doubt he was into Anthrax. Marilyn Manson, yes, but probably not Anthrax.

OK calm down kiddies, Symbolism is a terrible thing to argue about. Keep the politics and religon talk to a minimum.
Even the Nazi Swasticka was not a truly evil symbol, it is the sign of the 4 winds, it's when someone associated it with an evil group, that the symbol adopts a bad rep. If you don't like it don't buy it! That's what I do.
otherwise i had a very satanic kidnergarden teacher.....she drew stars all over my papers!

You know what's really funny? When I posed this question I had glanced at the figure a few times and honestly I didn't even notice the "star" in question. Personally I think nothing has meaning unless YOU give it meaning. Sure their can be standard implications associated with a symbol or whatever but pound for pound if you don't care or cause a ruckus about it, in most cases it will simply go away.

And honestly I'm never heard of a "pentagram" killing anyone. I have however heard about people killing all kinds of people and in most instances they had no particular fancy for the symbol. I'm just saying.

Right, back on track. Yeah, I'd like to pick one up. I hope BBP decides to make more musicians.

                  Sorry. :(

But when I get a chance to post the theme for Walker Texas Ranger, I'm totally going for it.

Said the same thing I did? You're actually comparing me to Anton Levay? How terribly sad... My statement was not directly pointed at you and you alone, but since you chose to attack me on it...

For the record, the cross was a Witchcraft symbol long before the Christians adopted it as well, and still currently used in Pagan ritual. Better not include that Pagan star on top of your Christmas tree anymore either. So you see these symbols have many meanings, decided upon by the group who adopts it. Please educate yourself before you shout out satanic nonsense, and compare people to satanists, especially when the symbol doesn't mean what you've been programmed to believe it means.

And if you believe in Witches and Warlocks... Then I have 20 carded Iron Men I'll sell you for $50 each.

It's a good thing Anton Levay didn't adopt the House of El as the symbol for his silly cause either, or there might be a lot of Superman Megos up on ebay.

Sorry for the thread derailment. I'm done. I'm off to buy my Scott Ian figure.

hey bud,you know nothing about me...I am very educated on the subject of symbolism and how symbols are used in the Occult.(see the book Codex Magica)

The Cross is a pagan Symbol..yep! already knew that! the cross symbolizes the Pagan god Tammuz,Son of Nimrod/Mithra
and I dont put up a pagan Christmas tree in my home, which you ASSUMED I do! The bible says not to learn the way of heathen in Jeremiah 10...

I didnt compare you to anything other than pointing out that the symbol on your Idol action figure has an inverted pentagram on his shirt and that is exactly what it is which you felt compelled to defend the symbol.Symbols do attracts demonic spirits, because if they didnt, symbols would not be used by Occultists...and practicing Witches do exist! I have met a couple in my lifetime (I guess you must be living under a rock). They willfully practice their craft (which is demonic). You can pretend they dont exist, but they do!

I have bought three of them so far. I like Anthrax's music and listened to it mainly when I was younger. I still like some of their tunes even now.

I bought one to have for my collection. I mainly bought the other two for customs and the guitars.

I'm a big fan of Joey Belladonna (the second and now the current singer in Anthrax). I have seen him live and even had the spot on the same stage with him.
Outside of Joey Belladonna, I have never really cared for Anthrax's music. Joey's voice is what got me into them when I was in High School.
Scott Ian being a collector and fan of Mego figures got his own figure due to his love of the doll.
I wouldn't personally run out and buy a Scott Ian doll.

                              Now King Diamond.......there's an idea.
