He really is a cool figure. The biggest thing for me is that Mattel really represented the character well and didn't cut any corners. Along with Captain Cold I have to say that I feel pretty good about Mattel not getting too caught up in the "reuse, repurpose" cycle that made Mego famous. Great for '75 but not so much 2011.

Go for it bro! I don't think that they're sold out the last time I checked. That actually surprises me by the way.

And on a personal side note, the headsculpt looks almost exactly like a buddy of mine. I'll have to find a pic and do a side by side. Creepy but still really cool.

Having drawn a couple of issues of Guy Gardner I think it's cool that he's been included in the lineup . Sadly I NEVER got to draw Guy with his soupbowl haircut - which ISN'T dumb - it's HIM !!

Ya gotsta luv that headsculpt - truly an awesome figure , might have to get him so he can annoy WW .

not a bad write up (though I grumbled at the 'one true Green Lantern' bit). Still, to each his own.

anyway, Guy is my fave figure in this line so far. He's my fave Earth GL, and they did a fantastic job on him.

Wish I could get my hands on more from this line (Flash, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, most of the villains who aren't Lex or Sinestro).

still, fun to collect the ones I do have.

When the negative comments in the review are that the shipping is bad, I'd say thats a 5 star figure!

This is my favorite figure from the entire retro line thus far, not just the GL run. The attention to detail on this one is fantastic!

Gotta say I'm very pleased with my Guy figure. The sculpt is great and the body issues seem to have been resolved.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Another great review Jim. I like the way you give a thorough accounting of the outfit with your pics. I also LOVE the group shots of the heroes and villains. That really puts things in perspective doesn't it? Retro figures have already come a long way, and hopefully this is only the beginning. I too agree that with each new figure, the sculpts and overall quality of the figures are just getting better and better.
