Well, not in a literal sense, but the Mattel figure is really, really well done. I love the padded suit and how he is a perfect amalgam of the Super Powers figure and Mego. The glove and boots are perfectly executed. The head sculpt is pretty dead on and in completely within the spirit of this figure line. It's slightly cartoony, slightly menacing.
Darkseid has long been my favorite DC villain, and it's cool to see him being associated with Superman more and more. The strangest part of this figure was the long manufacturing tag sewn into the back of the suit. I just cut it off, but it's strange how that was considered okay leaving the factory.
Anyway, EMCE and Mattel really hit it big with this wave. I'll have to get Manhunter and Black Adam soon, maybe at the Meet. If this is an indication of the quality to come, I really like the future prospects of this line's continuation and prosperity.
