    SHAZAM! Reviewed!

I apologize now for the crappy layout. Something is a little wonky with WordPress when it comes to formatting. Anyway, I'm glad that I finally picked this guy up.

    Great review Jim.
Did you find the legs tighter than previous waves or are they loose?

Very nice review, Jim. The writing really flows from point to point. Shazam is indeed a great figure. Yeah the head could have been done different, but I like this sculpt, and it's a HUGE improvement over the proto. This wave is proving to really be the turning point for the line itself.

Much better than Wave's 1 and 2. On the same level with Wave 3. Not super tight but just right for poseing and playing.

I love the Shazam figure but the pinkish suit bothers me a little.

What was written about the prototype picture looking really stupid was the first thing I thought that's why I did not pick up the Shazam/Captain Marvel figure until recently.
The figure's head has been corrected. I was anxiously awaiting the figure to arrive with the razor blade in my hand and a new replacement head to go on the figure and when I opened the box and saw that the goofy neck was corrected I thought, "This is pretty cool." and left it alone.
Some of those prototype pictures should not have gotten loose.

I still say he looks like Potsie from "Happy Days" but Shazam was always one of my favorite super heroes, and to this day remains my favorite mego! It just sucks that where I live I have yet to find him, or Flash I am super psyched to see him loose, and may have to break down and order me one online.

Oh and the reviews are great keep 'em coming!!!

Great review and I agree 100% about the improved look of the finished product over the prototype. Even with the pic of the proto all over the place, Big Bad Toy Store and other sites have already sold out of the Big Red Cheese. I got mine through amazon and look forward to: painting his irises black and sticking his head on a ZICA muscle body! SHAZAM!

Great review. That head would make a great custom for Moose Mason from The Archie Comics.

I like the way the belt has a Velcro backing so you can adjust it as needed. Nice touch!

I read that, beginning with wave three Mattel/EMCE fixed the floppy waist problem. How was this actually achieved? Did they tighten the waist elastic or did they eliminate it altogether in favor of the same type of swivel (correct term?) waist that you'd find on most action figures? Also, if in fact it is a swivel, can it do a 360 degrees turn
                          (Red Tornado!) Thanks.
