I tried to figure out which heroes are missing to have a wall rounded DC retro collection, and am asking which figs here seem likely, ans not likely:

Throw out Rock, Booster, Cyborg, Blackhawk, Parademon from that list for sure. Grodd and Grundy seem more likely with the success of the Darkseid padded suit.

I would LOVE to see Sgt. Rock make the cut, but having a figure made of the war hero is unlikely me thinks. I also cannot see Parademon or Mirror Master making the lineup unless they go to series 10 or 11. Cyborg would be really cool!

Agreed. Booster Gold for the Win. If we get Guy, then we need Booster, Beetle, and Canary to make the 80's JLU. We already have Batman, Martian Manhunter, and Shazam.

If they never get around to it, don't worry. Grundy can be easily customized using a Famous Covers Hulk. Paint him white, throw on a ratted black suit.

I finally am getting around to filling down those big feet and slapping on a pair of GI Joe boots that somebody gave me a tip along time ago.

If I had to guess I'd say the characters that had a strong TV presence in the late 70's and 80's will get top picks. If they were on the Super Friends or Super Powers or had their own show I think they've got a shot. If not, probably not.

With that "logic" in place I would really like to see all of the Super Friends including the Wonder Twins, Black Vulcan and Samuri.

^Then the likes of Hawkman,Robin,Brainiac,Scarecrow,Riddler,Grundy,Gi ganta,Grodd and Toyman should be locks. Joker,Parademon and Cyborg would get a look over since they were on the Super Powers show. Batgirl,Plastic Man,Catwoman and Supergirl each have a good chance. Gentleman Ghost,Blackhawk,Professor Zoom,Mirror Master and Sgt. Rock would be the long shots to me.

I'm really thinking Hawkman will be in the next wave. I'd love his villain to be Gentleman Ghost.

In comics recently and in the future, the big things are War of the Green Lantern and FlashPoint.

For movies, Green Lantern is coming up and they are expanding that line. Batman has one more movie and then he's being rebooted. He would be a big one to expand on. Superman is being rebooted and could be expanded on. Wonder Woman is coming out with a TV pilot. There is also still talk on the web of a Justice League movie.

They are making a LOT of different Green Lantern figures.
I'd say to stay on the lookout to see if anyone other than Commissioner Gordon is in the next Batman movie. Either Robin or Batgirl.

Personally, I'd love to see a Booster Gold figure.

I've been making a point of buying all of the DC comics retro action figures. I'll continue as long as the money holds out and as long as they don't do something rediculous like Matter Eater Lad. Nah, I'd probably collect the Legion of Substitute Heroes if they made them.
