I hope this series continues. I was real disappointed when Majestic ceased to exist, and from what I understand there is a significant connection between Majestic & Spectre. Fingers crossed that history is not repeating.

I don't understand why Series 2 is on hold when Series 1 has sold out at most retailers...I'm ready to pay for Series 2!!

I have to say I had never even heard of this show until this line was announced and thought to myself there's no way this line could make another wave if its based on sales of the first few. That said, if they go further, great for the fans of this show. I still don't know what its about. Now if anyone ever decided to make figures of "The White Shadow", now thats something I can get on board with! With the first wave of course being Coolidge and Salami....

It was a melodramatic daytime daily soap opera with a supernatural theme which aired on ABC from 1966-1971. It centered around the curse of the Collins family (located in small coastal town in Maine) and included storylines about blackmail, murder, mayhem, ghosts, a phoenix, vampires, witches, warlocks, mad-scientists, regenerated dead, werewolves, leviathans, time-travel, parallel time and much much more.

Just prior to the end of the show's run, there were two major motion picture releases based on two of it's storylines. In 1991, there was a prime-time revival of the series that ran on NBC (which suffered in the ratings because it kept getting pre-empted by the Gulf War coverage and incidentally ran for only one season). It's the only soap opera to ever become available (in completion) on DVD.

Currently in production is a Dark Shadows movie based on one of the original storylines (about the arrival of the first vampire in the series). The movie is being produced & directed by Tim Burton, written by John August & Seth Grahame-Smith, and stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz, and Gulliver McGrath. Probably not in the Dark Shadows line, but I like to think anything is possible.
