Is TRU getting wave 4??

I stopped by TRU on Friday. It had been months since I last stopped by, because I was tired of looking at the same Wave 1 peg-warmers.

All the usual Sinestros were still there... but so were Wonder Woman and Cheetah.

Certainly made me wonder. I always assumed that they never got anything beyond Wave 1. But maybe the new shipments were just selling before I had a chance to see them.

I've never found anything but Wave 1 in the Huntington TRU box store but during last x-mas wave 2 popped up in TRU Expresses around me. The TRU Express went away after mid January and probably won't pop up till next September. I'll be hitting them hard looking for wave 3+4. The only other place to find these is at my LCS but Diamond and Mattel bends small shops over the barrel on case prices. The wholsale price break is not kind and they have mark it up to $24.99/$29.99 a figure. What parent is gonna drop that kind of coin on 1 figure when gas is $4 a galloon.

I hate Diamond... sorry for the rant.

I do not understand

The toy display from the Toyfair says Wave 4 coming Summer 2011, so I would think they should start showing up in June or July. I wonder why Wave 3 seems to be in short supply? Who's mission is it to get these in the stores? I think they are selling well, so whats the problem?

I think the problem is Mattel. They are terrible with theiir other DC line as well. Try and find a DCUC from the last 3 waves that are supposed to be out, its ridiculous. It got to the point that mattycollector.com started selling the cases from their site but haven't since wave 12. So its gotta be something to do with production, always their excuse with half shipments on the MOTUC. Also poor distribution, TRU is terrible, they ship like one case per store at a time because they don't want the overstock.

The TRU in Tigard, Oregon has Lex and Sinestro!!! They have some figures that'll never sell! Clearance them already!!!!! They will never get any new Retro-action figures!
