The TRU at King of Prussia is a great place to look. I saw Wave 2 and 3 there a couple months back. They also had Twilight Zone and Venture Bros.
Franklin Mills and Aramingo Ave had Wave 2 for a week in September and didn't get them back in after that, and Franklin Mills never had wave 1. Cottman Ave had Wave 3 like a month ago which was just after I gave up and got em from a comic shop.
I still look when I'm near a TRU but am done with going there every week like clockwork. If I find Wave 4 & up I'll get 'em. If not, they'll turn up someday. At the same time, with all the defects I've read about on here (2 left hands or feet, backwards torsos) I have no plans to buy them online sight unseen
Stopped by at my nearby TRU and guess what was on the pegs?
Yep.
Sinestro. Probably half a dozen.
Lex Luthor. 2-3 warming the pegs.
Venture Brothers-wise only one Brock and Dean and both had beat up cards. $15 each.
The TRU had ALL of the Ghostbusters. However I didn't spot any TZ, or Universal Monsters in retro form.
Today I stopped by the TRU closest to me. Again I say in comparison to what others have posted, it's the Bizzaro store. They had several Aquamans, Black Mantas and Two Face. No Wave 3.
Plenty of Ghostbusters, one Venture figure and no sign of the Universal Monsters.
The only time I saw Wave 3 was at a TRU in Austin, TX where they had Flash and Capt Cold.
ya know its always easy to get them online, and i got my two wave 4 sets that way,but there is nothing like getting them at retail, like i did as a kid-you know look through the pegs and get the best ones, nice package and position the figure is standing in,no missing weapons or backward hands .
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
^^ I don't really care about the thrill of getting them at the store, for me its saving shipping...
...and as Foolkiller mentioned, this line's "errors" have been making it
tough to pull triggers on the online purchases.
I'd like to buy them in person if possible.
EDITED to add that tllgn was basically saying that as well.. so...
I guess I'm beating a dead horse pretty dang good...
but I guess that's because I'm still more than a bit frustrated
that I can't make in person puchases

I have never had a problem finding them at TRU, so I usually just wait instead of ordering but I also don't want to miss out. It seems like quite a long gap between online availability and hitting the shelves this time.
I asked a worker at TRU about what is going on with the Retro line, cuz all they've had for over a year is one lone Sinestro and one Lex... he went and checked the computer and told me that the line had been discontinued from their store. So much for finding these at retail.
I did see wave 4 in a comic shop in San Francisco at $39.99 each. Either you have to pay scalper prices or go through the online websites which overcharge for shipping (and with sales tax for Entertainment Earth if you happen to live in CA). It was a nice thought to try to get these going again, but I simply can't afford it anymore. C'est la vie
