    Dc Retro Heros Newbie Questions

OK,I wasn't going to collect this line at first...but then I saw Shazam and that was it...I went all in and got the first 3 waves and am looking for wave 4

So,since i haven't been in the loop I was wondering...

Is wave 4 the last wave of 2011? or will there be more this year?

Is wave 4 going to be at toys r us?? I've seen them advertised just about everywhere else but not at TRU

oh and finally...what will it take to get Plastic Man to be part of this line

I'm not the expert but here is my impression.

When the line began, I think Mattel was looking at one year (probably 3 waves) based on sales. The first wave came in strong enough that Mattel committed to two years and I was thinking 6 waves. Everyone was really excited to see the next wave or two at Toyfair...and they were not shown. There was a lot of speculation about the future of the line.

It sounds like more figures are on the way and accessories may be included. Hopefully we won't have to wait until SDCC to see the next wave but with the focus on Green Lantern, it might be a possibility. I'm in the process of putting together some DC customs, so I know who my guess is for the next wave...

I'm glad you are all in. It's really a dream come true and I am really waiting for wave 4 as well.

I think we will see new stuff at San Diego Comicon this summer.

        Hey Twiki,

If you are in NYC, Mid town Comics had Martian Manhunter and Black Adam last week at 2 of their 3 locations I visited

According to Mattel in one of the Q&A's there is more Retro Action DC and Real Ghostbusters on the way. The suspense is part of the fun.

I really think there is no doubt about the line. The only reason new stuff wasn't shown at TF was because they would have seriously overshadowed the Green Lantern wave and they didn't want that. I mean we are not even that crazy about the Green Lantern wave so wouldn't figures like Robin,Hawkman,Joker etc and whoever else may be included in waves 5 and 6 totally make everyone say what Green Lantern wave??? It is all about DC pushing Green Lantern this year and hoping to see not another DC film flop. I don't think it has anything to do with RA popularity or sales. I see at least 3 years out of this line but probably even more.
