It's a perfect time for Shaw Brothers Mego styled figures. Companies like Dragon Dynasty, Tokyo Shock and Funimation are all releasing re-mastered DVD editions of all the classic titles like King Boxer, 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Come Drink With Me, Five Deadly Venoms, 8 Diagram Pole Fighter etc. etc. etc. With the current Mego style resurgence, it seems like it'd be a hit. I don't know anything about licensing, but as Kung Fu movies are kinda fringe-ish, the licence may be somewhat reasonable. Plus they'd all make really great looking figures. I'd buy em all...

If the 5 Deadly Venoms did ever miraculously get a first wave, the second wave could be the Crippled Avengers. Which would possible be one of the least politically correct choices for action figures ever.






But it sure would be economical to just redress the 5 Deadly Venoms in Crippled Avengers gear wouldn't it?
