Adam's boots are molded golden, Dave.

As far as the Martian Manhunter is concerned, I see where you are coming from but he looks perfectly in keeping with the Mego aesthetic to my eye. You could say that virtually all of Mego's DC characters back in the day had "friendly bland" sculpts and "cheap" looking capes, though personally I would argue with such a pejorative description. As far as the Martian Manhunter's build, for decades he was depicted as "just a guy", albeit green-skinned. The body suit doesn't bother me at all, as it is executed perfectly.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for in the Retro line. For me, its being able to get new "Mego" characters that fit in with the ones I've had 35 years and by that standard the Retro line is everything I want and then some---a rousing success that has improved with each wave.

There must be something wrong with me. I have not seen Martian Manhunter in person yet but I've seen him plenty on the forum.
I dont like it at all.
#1 is the friendly bland sculpt. It just looks like a guy.
Super cheap looking cape and a Tarzan body suit.

I like Manhunter and I used to have the Super Powers, and Silver Age JLU 9", but not this figure.
I like Adams costume. I hope those boots are molded golden and not painted. Dont like the neck.

Black Adam definitely looks like the old Fawcett version, which is cool. Those turned out much nicer than I expected, from the proto pics.

I thought that was because of some Chinese New Year snafu thing. Oh wait, wasn't it just that time again over there??

I think it has been delayed to tweak the head sculpt.

I'm still so curious why Shazam isn't out yet. There has to be a reason no?

I really like the way Martian Manhunter looks, even if I'm unfamiliar w/ the character.

I don't think it is too long Boywonder, as I've already said numerous times, I think Black Adam's outfit just needs to be pulled up a smidge, right up to the head/neck line, and it won't have that illusion of a long neck. Further proof that his outfit simply needs to be pulled up would be to look at BA's chest bolt, that also is too low on his chest, actually touching his belt.

His neck doesn't look too long to me. I think his collar might contribute to that impression, but if you pull his collar up to his neck line and compare him to other figures you'll see that his neck is fine as far as proportions go. It may be throwing some people off that the figure is based on the early appearance of Black Adam---he is on model, imo.
