Re-Mego collectors do you also collect the original Megos?

I've had a lot of fun collecting the new figures. But I don't have any of the original figures that I grew up with.

Was thinking about getting a few here and there.

What about you all? Do you have an original Mego Collection?

How have these new figures impacted those collections.

    Are you buying more? Less.

Do you display them separately...? Together?

        Scott - beautiful display.

Tllgn -- which originals don't you have that you want.

For the new ones...now that you're buying 2...is that one to open, one to display?

I'm buried in vintage Megos, including five RC Batman's and one RM Robin. Once I get Wonder Girl, Catwoman, and Supergirl, I'll have the entire WGSH line. I have most of the 12 inch line as well. And that's JUST the WGSH series...Sheesh.

Of course, but after 20 years of spending thousands of dollars on Megos it's nice to pay $19.00 on a figure that doesn't require a snipe bid.

This is the first time I'm seeing anyone's collection. Very nice.

Yep, I collect originals. But to me, they're all Megos. The only difference to me is when they were made.

From kidhood, and from adult purchases, I have a lot of originals - all the Heroes, all the Apes, most of the Trek, all of the Dukes, all of Starsky and Hutch, SWAT and Kojak - along with around 100 customs, and I'm actively buying the Retro DCs and loving them. Haven't made the jump to Dark Shadows, Lost, Venture Bros., or Twilight Zone yet, but I am considering the Big Lebowski.

The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama

For me nothing beats original Megos. These ReMegos are awesome but don't have the same feel as an original. The new ones have loose bodies and are heavier, especially the legs. But dang they look awesome on the card. I only have a few original Treks but hope to expand my collection during my stay here.
